A Forbidden Tree

The trees were so bright yellow, the sun looked like it wasn't shining. Isabel admired that. She walked along the dirt path, counting trees. The branches were slightly swaying due to the fall season. Isabel was walking home from school, just as normal. Then Isabel saw a woman, looking like she was in her 70's. She was homeless. Isabel had such a good heart. She walked over to the woman who was shivering and sitting next to a dark, old looking tree. This tree was so much different. It looked scary and magical at the same time. The trunk was dark, and tar was peeling off. The leaves were glowing gray. Isabel took out her uneaten apple and five dollars from her backpack. Then she gave it to the old woman. "Hello. Do you need any food? Help?" Isabel said in the sweetest way.
"No! Go away! The old woman responded. Isabel was confused. She was wondering why this lady did not want help? Was she crazy? 'Go away little girl! Do not come near me or this tree!" But Isabel just kept walking toward her.
