Fallen Angels- an Andy Biersack love story
Chapter 1
Chapter 1
I walked through the front doors of my school, listening to 'The Legacy' by the Black Veil Brides, my favorite band. I dumped off some of my stuff in my locker, and then headed to my first class, science. I couldn't wait to be done with high school.I wasn't exactly sure what I was majoring in college, but it would be something to do with music- I played guitar and piano both very well.
When I was just leaving my last class and walking down the hall to put away my books, I ran into my friend, Zack. "Hey Artemis," he said casually.
"Hi, Zack," I replied, quickly unlocking my locker and putting away my books, "Wanna do homework together this afternoon?" I asked.
"Sure," he replied, "Old Ferguson gave us a lot." I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Of course he did. He gives everyone tons of homework." Zack and I had been friends since elementary school, and we knew pretty much everything about each other. I noticed his mouth quirk into a small smile, "What is it?"
"It's a surprise," he said, though the smile grew before he turned away.
"Uh, okay," I said. I wondered if it had something to do with my eighteenth birthday, which was in a few days.
We headed to my house and went into the dining room to work on our schoolwork. My parents were both at work that day, and the house was very quiet. I grabbed the cookie jar (currently filled with Oreos) from the kitchen, and brought it into the dining room. Zack's grinned hugely. "You look like a little kid!" I laughed.
Zack smiled and dug into the Oreos as soon as I set them down. I went back to the kitchen, and soon came back with a couple glasses of milk. We got done by our homework by about dinnertime, and headed to Subway to eat.
Zack had the same smile on his face that he had had earlier. "Alright," he said, "I can't keep it a secret any longer. I'm going to burst."
I leaned toward him, excited.
"For your birthday," he said, hesitating for added effect, "We're going to a Black Veil Brides concert."
"What?!" I squeaked excitedly.
"Yep," he said, grinning, "I already got the tickets and everything. The concert's the night of your birthday, though. I hope you don't mind not being home then?"
"Of course not!" I said, "Thank you so much!" I leaned across the table and kissed his cheek. When I pulled back, he was blushing furiously.
So two days later, I was ready to go, wearing a pair of black distressed skinny jeans, a fitted Batman T-shirt (yes, maybe I want to get Andy's attention. So what?), black Converse with yellow laces, a BVB zip-up hoodie and a few BVB wristbands. I put on war paint like Andy wears in their Fallen Angels music video and then headed downstairs to wait for Zack to pick me up. I'd gotten a lot of great gifts, but I was sure this one would be the best of all. The doorbell rang and I hurried outside, calling back a quick goodbye to my parents. Zack was on the porch wearing a BVB T-shirt, black skinny jeans, black and gray Osiris, and war paint like what Andy wears in BVB's Perfect Weapon music video. "You look great!" he said.
I smiled, "Thanks, you too!"
He nodded, and then we got into his car, a bright yellow Jeep Wrangler. The ride to the place where they were performing took about fifteen minutes but it seemed to take hours, and I was practically quivering in anticipation by the time we got there. Zack handed my my ticket, and we headed inside. There were probably hundreds of black-clad, war-paint wearing people- it was awesome!
I looked closer at my ticket, reading the text. I looked up at Zack suddenly, even more excited. "You got.." I trailed off.
"Yep," he said, "Backstage passes."
