I was watching "The Time Traveller's Wife" the other day and got the idea for this story. Kind of weird, but oh well. I'll see how it goes.

Chapter 1

Four years ago, I met a man called Brian Rosenthal. We started hanging out, and in short time, we began dating. But Brian had a strange condition.
It started not long after my 23rd birthday.
We had been at a party the previous night with some of Brian's old uni friends, and after a night filled with fun, alcohol and loud music, Brian and I returned to our flat and promptly fell asleep.
In the morning he was gone.

But the strange thing was, he had left all his possessions in the flat.
I checked through the wardrobe we shared: the only clothes missing were the ones Brian had fallen asleep in.
At first I suspected he was having an affair, but that didn't explain why none of his clothes were gone.
His phone was still in the apartment too.
I was starting to panic.

I logged onto my computer, tapping my fingers on the desk in frustration.
I clicked Facebook.
My profile flashed up and I clicked on my boyfriend's profile.
Brian Rosenthal.
His cover photo depicted us, hand in hand, in Central Park.
Nothing had changed.
I leant back in my chair, breathing heavily.
Where was he?
I went back to bed, trying not to notice Brian's half of the bed, which was stone cold.

Some hours later, my phone woke me.
I picked it up.
"One new message: Joey Richter." Joey was one of Brian's uni friends.
I opened the message.
"Where are you guys?" And then I remembered Brian and I were supposed to be having coffee with him.
So Brian wasn't with Joey either. This was starting to scare me.

Trying not to hyperventilate, I typed out a reply to Joey.
"Can you come over? Please? It's urgent."
A moment later, I got the reply.
"OK... See you soon."
While waiting for Joey, I paced briskly up and down the flat, trying to stop my hands shaking.
When the doorbell rang, I sprinted downstairs.
Joey stood on the doorstep. He was tall, with dark hair and a crooked jaw.
He smiled at me when I opened the door, a slightly confused smile.
"Hey Charlotte."
I looked up at him.
"Brian's gone."

Yeah first chapter done! I hope you guys like my random craziness.
Shall I carry on with this? Comment, rate, smile!
