When the Darkness Arrived
Chapter 1
Chapter 1
After I saved the world and killed Ganondorf and Zant, I came back to my boring, stupid life. The goat-wrangling-horse-finding-fishing-for-cats-life. I was in my shack-like house, watching Epona, just in case Ilia came. If she does come I might put an arrow through her head. Ever since Midna left, I've been bored. I could go see Zelda but then I would have to sneak through the door on the roof. I am the Hero of Hyrule. I should be able to take a break from all that fighting. I laid on the chair and put my feet on the table, pushing everything on it aside, and closed my eyes.
"Hey Link!" someone called.
I glanced outside to see "them". That group of kids. Talo, Malo, and Beth.
"Come down Link!" Talo yelled.
I peeked out the door.
"Hi kids," I said and smiled. I came down to them. "What's up?"
"Guess what!" Talo said, excitedly. He took out the slingshot that he wanted for years. "I got yesterday! Isn't amazing!" he cheered.
"I guess," I said. "But, it's not as cool as a bow and arrow,"
"WHOA! You have a bow and arrow?" they all screamed.
"Yep,"
"Can we use it?" Talo asked.
"Nope,"
"Aww, c'mon! Please!!"
"Nope,"
"Just listen to him," Malo mumbled. "The last time you took his sword, you lost it,"
"No, I didn't! I dropped it!" Talo yelled.
I ignored the kids, hopped on Epona, and headed in to forest. The usual sunny, peppy forest was all dark and gloomy. There wasn't rain coming or anything. Something was wrong...
