Its Hollywood Anything Can Happen....Like You Loving Me. (Michael Jackson and David Tennant Story)
Ok. This story I did a long time ago in my senior year. So with a few edits and more detail, I am posting it on here.
This is dedicated to my friend Lara. We spent many bus rides talking about going to Hollywood and meeting the two guys we so desperately love. Love you, girly!
I hope you all enjoy this story.
Chapter 1
She's Going Hollywood
I cleaned the last table and sighed. I had been working here since my senior year of high school and that was three years ago. Three years of working in this restaurant in a small town in Florida.
Don't get me wrong. I love Florida. I love being able to go to the beach on a hot summers day and swim in the cool blue ocean water. And I loved having a place to work. I was eternally greatful for being given a chance to have a job, since everyone has been grabbing every job they could find.
I stared out the window at the darkening sky. I felt sorrow prick at my heart. Was I ever gonna get out of Crestview?
"Hey, girl. You alright?" I heard my friend ask as she came from around the counter.
I snapped back into the present and turned my gaze to her and smiled.
"Yea." I said walking towards the counter as Lara grabbed a fresh towel.
I sat on the counter as she scrubbed her kitchen, attempting to make it squeaky clean.
Lara had been a chef since my arrival and I had to say, ever since she ever became chef, the business at the restaurant increased. Friday nights were packed, that for the first time ever, we actually had to have people wait for a table.
"Hey." I turned towards her.
"What?"
"Haven't you ever thought of leaving here and moving on to, you know, better places?" I asked her.
Lara laughed.
"Why would I want to do that?" she asked turning her gaze to me. "I have everything I need here. I have a house, a great job, and I am doing the one thing I love doing in life. Cooking for people."
I stayed silent for a moment.
"Yea, but. What if you got a better job cooking French cuisines or Italian dishes in a really fancy restaurant?" I pushed the thought.
Lara looked at me for a long moment as if she were trying to read my mind. Then she smiled and went back to cleaning.
"You're talking about going to Los Angeles again aren't you?" she asked shaking her head.
"I have been saving up for three years to go to Los Angeles. I have enough. We should go."
"Look. It was cute the first few times, but we planned it out just for fun. I mean, two girls like us would never stand a chance in Los Angeles." she rolled her eyes nad scrubbed the counter.
"Well, what good is planning it, if you're never gonna do it?" I asked.
Lara stopped scrubbing and gazed at me thoughtfully. A long strand of dark brown hair fell infront of her face as she gazed at me.
"You're serious about this." she said in a matter of fact tone.
I walked towards her. Why is it that no one ever takes me seriously on this matter? I wondered to myself.
"All my life, I have been told that I would never make it in Hollywood. That its just a childs dream. I have never been more determined to prove myself. Of course I'm serious." I frowned.
Lara pondered over my statements. I could tell if she was wondering if it was a good idea. She looked at me.
"Fine. But I am not riding Greyhound." she shuddered.
The thought of riding in a stuffy bus with a broken toilet and little kids kicking your seat was revolting.
"Of course not." I smirked. "Don't insult me. If we are going to LA, we are going First Class." I smiled.
"Are you sure we can do this? That we can make it?" she asked.
"Girl, we were born for this."
