The Hunger Games: The Beginning of the End
Heres the start of my new story that I hope to start actually working on (For those who actually read my last story I know I stopped writing my other one, but it's just to hard for me to think of ideas to keep the story going and I've been busy with school. But I promise that i'll try to continue it as soon as I can.) Anyways back to this story, comment and tell me wat you think, I need peoples inputs to continue the story.
Chapter 1
Introduction
The Capital, the cruelest place in all Panem, that’s what people say at least and I agree. Most people think if you’re born in the Capital you have all the freedom in the world, but that’s not the case, it’s like a prison. There are millions of rules you have to follow; if you don’t the consequences can be deadly. No one truly dares to go against the Presidents word, but every once in a while there’s a group of foolish people who decide to make their own rules and go against the capital. The last time that happened, an entire district was annulated, that’s how the Hunger Games started, you see. Well before I say anymore I should introduce myself, my name is Juliet Snow I’m the youngest of four siblings, including myself. Dillon is who is the oldest helps President Snow in the Capital, he’s assisted by our other brother Flint and two of their friends; Trevor and Victor. Demitra is my older sister, you almost never get to see her, she’s always sick so she spends most of her time in bed as nurses and doctors run in and out of her room making sure she’s comfortable. As you may have guessed by our last name the President of the now 12 districts is our grandfather. The reason I say “now” is because of the result of a revolution. Some of the districts banded together and went against the capital; as a result my grandfather decision to completely destroyed district 13 then had the rest of the districts select two tributes; one boy and one girl, to compete against the other districts to the death until only one remains. Doing so my grandfather wanted to show the other districts that no matter how hard they tried the Capital would always have control over them. I’ve tried to convince him to stop, but no matter what I say he refuses to give in.
So here we are again; I still can’t believe my Grandfather is still holding these pointless games. Yes, I understand why but don’t you think the districts are suffering enough, I mean these games are the result of something that happened years ago, why my grandfather can’t realize that the past is the past and he should let it go? Doesn’t anybody think that sending kids my age into this tournament where you expect them to kill each other for entertainment is cruel? I think so, but nobody listens to my opinion; nobody ever did, all they care about is whose going to be picked this year for the 74th annual games, or which district is going to win this year. Well I’m sick of watching kids being forced from their families to come and compete to kill each other.
I guess my siblings and I are going to have to take this problem into our own hands. Even though it may end our lives we’ll do whatever it takes to stop these games. Unfortunately our grandfather keeps us busy; sometimes I think he keeps us so busy so we don’t go against him or the capital. To him we’re his biggest threat, we’re well liked and influential throughout the districts so it wouldn’t be hard to convince districts to revolt against him. Unfortunately, there are some people who go against the Capital who have no chance in making it out alive if the Capital ever found out, that’s where we come in, my two brothers, their two friends; Liam and Draco, and myself are the barrier between the idiots who try to change the future by telling the truth and sometimes lies about the Capital, and the Capital and even the President himself.
