I'm With You (My Story Entry For xxxlexixxx's Contest)

Sonic was walking through the woods, looking for something to do, when all of a sudden, BAM!!! Sonic was blown backwards, doing a backflip to save himself. He just saw a flash of pink and then it was gone. Sonic knew who it was imediatly. He ran to catch up.
"Hey Amy," he said as he got close.
"Hi Sonic!!" she replied, slowing just a touch so he could catch up.
"Where are you going?" he asked Amy.
"I dunno," she replied, "I just felt like running."
"Fair enough."
"Race you to the beach!" Amy blasted ahead.
"Hey!! No fair!!" With a sudden burst of speed he was off. they ran along in silence, except for their footfalls. Neck-and-neck, they could see the sand, the ocean and the palm trees. Amy, suddenly, shot ahead.
"I win, I win!!" she shouted in a sing-song voice.
"Good job, Amy," Sonic replied. "I let you win, though."
"SURE you did." The sarcasm in Amy's voice let Sonic know she didn't believe him. She sauntered over to the edge of the water and sat down. Sonic sat next to her. The sun was setting. Sonic looked over at Amy. She was glowing in the sunlight, making it seem like she was an angel. Amy looked back at Sonic. She had always liked him, but he had never liked her back. She eventually gave up on trying to get him to like her. They sat together for who knows how long.
Then Amy stood up.
"C'mon, it's getting late," she said, turning to leave.
"Wait, Amy," Sonic said, grabbing her arm. "Before we go, and we're not alone anymore, I just want to do one thing." He pulled her close and kissed her. Amy was completely surprised. She pushed him away.
"Wait, I thought you didn't like me that way," she said, confused.
"That was a while ago. This is now," Sonic smiled at Amy and she smiled back. They leaned toward eachother and kissed again. They pulled away and looked into eachothers eyes. They held hands and ran back towards their houses. When they got to Amy's house, she said, "I don't want to leave."
"Neither did I," Sonic confessed. "But don't worry," he smiled at her. "I'm With You."
