My best friends brother, and my brothers best friend
Another Harry Potter fanfiction Yay!
Its a story I wrote about Lee Jordan's little sister Angel, and no she is not real I invented her.
Chapter 1
Twins meet Angel, Angel meet the twins
“B-b-but I mean if you had to p-p-pick you would want it to be someone you t-t-trusted, right?” I said twisting a strand of hair around my fingers the way I always did when I was nervous. “Angel where are you going with this?” Lee asked slightly irritated. “A friend maybe, a b-b-best friend?” “Angel don’t tell me you’re saying what I think your saying.” “I don’t know what I’m saying anymore.” I didn’t know much of anything anymore.
“Do you have everything you need?” “Yes mama.” “Everything, your owl, school books, robes, cauldron, wand?” “Mama I got a cat, Lee has the owl.” “Oh that’s right that’s right.” Mama said frantically. “Everything’s in my trunk except for my wand and Coco.” “Well let’s go, let’s go! We’ll be late!” “Mama we’re not going to be late, you said the same thing last year and we got there before the train did.” Lee said casually striding down the stairs dragging his trunk behind him. “It’s Angel’s first year I’m just worried about her.” Mama said wringing her hands. “Don’t worry I’ll protect her; no one’s going to mess with my little sister.” Lee said abandoning his trunk and throwing an arm around my shoulder.
“Quick get through the barrier. Lee don’t let your sister go alone!” “Mama you’re embarrassing me.” I said through gritted teeth but secretly I was glad she made Lee go with me. The idea of walking through a solid brick wall was terrifying to me. Mama didn’t let me come with Lee last year to see the Hogwarts express so I was shocked when I saw it. The giant scarlet train was standing before me as students ran around in front of it saying goodbye to their family while the brilliant train belched out large amounts of steam.
Lee helped me load my things onto the train and then led me down into our own compartment. “You don’t have to sit with me I know you probably want to sit with your friends instead.” I said once we were in our own compartment sitting across from each other. “I know but little sis I’m not sitting with you your sitting with me. My friends are going to join us.” I was confused as to why Lee wanted his friends to meet his little sister but I quickly pushed the thought away at the thought of new friends this early in the school year. Soon we were joined by the two of the most handsome boys I had ever seen. They were identical red head boys, tall and slender with matching evil grins. I scooted as close to the window as I could get but that didn’t stop one from sitting especially close to me so close in fact that I could smell the slightly musky scent of his cologne. “Twins this is my little sister Angel, Angel this is Fred and George, don’t even try to figure out which is which it’s a useless effort.” “Wow are you guys twins also?” The one near Lee said peering closely at me. “If we were twins you would have met her last year dufus.” Lee said smacking the twin on his side over the head. “You to do look a lot alike, she’s like the girl version of you.” Said the twin near me. “You know what Lee you make a very attractive girl.” Said the twin next to me. I blushed slightly at his words. “Knock it off, actually I need you guys to look after her when I can’t, I pretty much dedicate my entire life to protecting Angel but if I can’t do it I need to know someone else will.” “Sure, it will be good practice for when Ginny comes to school here.” Said the one next to Lee. “Who’s Ginny?” I asked timidly as I absentmindedly wrapped a strand of hair around my finger. “Our little sister but she won’t be going here for another 3 years.” “Angel what’s wrong?” Lee asked. I quickly pulled my hand away and ended up pulling a few hairs in the process. “Nothing.” I lied. “Angel I know you to well. Must just be nervous about starting at Hogwarts.”
When we finally reached the castle Lee told me I wouldn’t be allowed to follow him and the twins inside that I had to go with the rest of the first years. I was crowded into a boat with a boy who had a chin that looked like cauliflower, and a girl with almond shaped eyes and shiny black hair that fell just above her waist. After the boat ride we were led into the Great Hall by Professor McGonagall who told us what was about to happen: the sorting.
The sorting seemed simple enough: you went up in front of the whole school, put a mangy old hat on your head and it yelled out the house you would be in. Even though it seemed easy enough almost every person that went up was shaking and looked terrified; I was no exception. “Jordan, Angel.” I walked up trying to look as calm as I could. I sat down on the stool as the hat was placed on my head and slipped down so low that all I could see were the feet of the people in front of me and the brim of the hat. “Isn’t this interesting,” said a small voice inside my head. “Most people are worried about being good enough for this school, but not something as frivolous as boys.” I felt my cheeks burn. “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone.” The voice laughed. “Enough gossip I think you would be best suited in GRYFFINDOR!” the last word was echoed out for the entire school to hear and was greeted with a loud roar of applause mostly issuing from the Gryffindor table. The hat was plucked off my head by professor McGonagall who smiled at me before I ran off to join my brother at the Gryffindor table.
“She does not!” I heard Lee whisper to the twins I had met on the train. “Angel sit here!” one of the twins urged placing me in between him and his brother while Lee sat across the table. “She does look a lot like you.” One of the twins argued. “She does not!” Lee repeated. A hand was placed under my chin and I froze at the touch. “Look same high cheek bones, same skin color, same eyes, same nose, and same mouth. Face it Lee she’s you as a girl!” the twin urged before removing his hand from my face. Maybe it was just my imagination but the place where he touched me burned but in a good way. “She doesn’t have the same hair.” Lee pointed out. “I’m sure if we gave your sister dread locks they would be exactly the same as yours only longer,” one of the twins started. “but I think she looks better with her hair the way it is.” The other twin finished.
While the boys continued to argue about who I looked like I tried to watch the sorting, unfortunately it wasn’t as wonderful as I imagined. Someone would walk up to the stool the hat would yell a house and everyone would cheer, it was more entertaining when you were the one being sorted. After the last person had been sorted our headmaster, Dumbledore, made a short speech and a feast appeared before my very eyes, I was a little apprehensive to eat food when I had no idea where it came from but when I saw Lee help himself to some mash potatoes I decided it was safe and I piled some food on my plate. “Which of you is which again?” I asked the twins. “I’m George,” Said the one on my left. “and that’s Fred, but if you really want to tell us apart just remember that I’m the better looking one.” He said smiling. “My brother likes to kid, we all know if you look for the more attractive one you’ll find it’s always me.” said Fred.
After I ate as much as I possibly could the food vanished only to be replaced by desserts. My stomach was protesting that it would soon burst but my brain didn’t seem to hear it as I reached out and took a brownie. “You have to try the banana pie, best I’ve ever had!” Fred said taking a piece and slamming it on my plate. “But it’s not nearly as good as the strawberry pound cake.” George said grabbing some for me. “Angel you like pudding right?” Lee said as he spooned some on my plate. By the time they were done naming all the desert I should try my plate was covered in a mini, sugary, and quite tempting mountain. “I can’t possibly eat all of this!” I said exasperated as I stared at the pile not even sure where to start but feeling my belt get tighter at the mere thought. “Just eat all the stuff I told you to and ignore everyone else’s suggestions.” George said as he bit into a candied apple. I tried to make everyone happy by trying some of each by the end of the meal though I could barely walk.
“Come on Angel time for bed, with all that food you should sleep like a baby.” Lee said standing. “I don’t think I can, why did you guys make me eat so much.” I whined leaning my head down on the now empty table. “I’ll carry you.” I heard George say and before I could protest I was heaved into the air and flung over his shoulder. “Let me carry her instead, we all know I’m stronger.” Fred said as he grabbed me by the waist and switched me to his shoulder instead. “Stop throwing me around or I’m going to throw up all over both of you!” I shouted as the food in my stomach churned uncomfortably. My words seemed to have done the trick for the next moment I had been placed on the floor and the identical redheaded boys were backing way while Lee roared with laughter. “I think I can make the trip to the dormitories just this once.” I said clutching my stomach and proceeding forward.
