The Butterfly Project

for thoughts of self harm

Chapter 1

Butterflies helping the healing

If you or anyone you know self-harms, i.e. cutting, burning, etc., and you or whoever the person is doesn't want to seek help (which I highly suggest, but that's just me) then this is for you.

The Butterfly Project is a way to help end the habit/addiction. The rules are fairly simple:
1. When you feel like you want to self-harm, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to stop hurting yourself.
3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. If you self-harm before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you dont do it, it lives.
5. If you have more than one butterfly, self-harming kills all of them.
6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.
7. Even if you don’t self-harm, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.

Spread the word, guys! Who knows, it could really help someone!

(I myself am going to be doing this)
