who will you marry?(part 81)

Chapter 1

dark intentions

One of the bandits was standing just within the circle of trees, hardly fifteen feet from where you stood. you stood sideways on to him, a thick staff balanced in his hand, watching you through the open side of his shelter. He must have seen your womanly curves, your eyes gleaming in the dusk because he settled his grip on the staff and grinned at you, his teeth flashing in the shadows. “Don’t worry,” you said softly. “It’s just me… you left me a lovely trail. Very considerate.” that familiar dark anger consumed u but instead of fighting against it you embraced it, you wanted them to die slow and painful, to feel how the merchant felt when they taken her life

He stood still as a mouse and watched as you sidled across the clearing increasing the distance between them and you , as you glanced at the staff held out from his side. Lightning flickered briefly again, and you clearly saw a knife in his other hand. There was a moment of blindness after the flash, then your night-vision cleared and you saw another man was standing beside the other bandit, looking at you. His grin had disappeared and his face was wary.

He stood there for a moment, assessing your intentions. Then he let his eyes slip down your body, lingering on your breasts, dropping between your legs, running back up to your breasts again. You saw his face became heavy, and his lips parted. He looked you in the eyes again and let you see the knife.

you could feel the magic already building inside of you as you closed your eyes. It made your fingertips tingle. Flexing your fingers, you held your position, waiting for the bandits to make their move. They were still a distance off, and you wanted them as close as possible before you faced them. you listened to their footsteps on the ground, using their unique sounds to tell you the build of each bandit. One of them stood out in amongst the two. The stride was confident and heavy. It had to be the leader, taking one last breath to steady your nerves, you brought your hands around in front of you and gripped your wrist. You didn’t look down at your arms. you already knew what it would look like. The magic was growing, intensifying the feelings inside of you and heightening your senses making everything as clear as sunny day.

He stepped forwards, looking confident and sure of himself, but you caught the fear that surfaced briefly in his eyes. “princess ashanti?” he said in a deep accented voice. You said nothing and kept still. He was a fool if he couldn’t see who he was dealing with. you smiled wickedly showing your fangs and it seemed to unnerve the them. If they wanted to know who you were, you were happy to show them. You let the magic grow and leave your fingers. There was no need to keep it contained now. It would be an advantage to you to have them scared and you intended to frighten the life out of them before you killed them.

Keeping your eyes locked with the leader’s, you directed your hand towards the edge of the area within inches of them and kept your face impassive as you released the magic. The startled cries and screams of pain of the bandits made confidence swell inside of you. you could see one the bandits bunching up and moving away from where you’d aimed. It was exactly what you’d wanted them to do. Moving your hand, you released another bolt of magic and this time watched it tear through the bandit who had tried to flee from the from the other side. “And then there was one“, you thought as you approach the leader

Bringing your eyes back to the him, you smiled when you saw the same look of fear and horror on his face as he stood motionless as if paralyzed by fear as u removed the knife swiftly from his hand. As his partner lay dead before him, you stared straight into the eyes of the leader when you unleashed the magic. Sweeping your fingers lightly across his chest, the threads of magic lanced through the bandit. It buried itself deep into him and you held your breath as you waited to see what was going to happen. The leader grasped his chest and howled in pain when a bright light tore through him.

You had been so preoccupied in feeding the bandit that you had focused your senses on him so you could get the most pleasure out of feeling his fear. That you almost missed it when you heard what sounded like a muffled cry coming from direction of the pack mules releasing the bandit you head toward the sound, opening the bag on the side of the horse and it was like déjà vu as you stared down at the infant. She looked exactly like the child you saw in the dream that Vince had attempted to trapped you in, her hair was jet black and softly curly, with somber hazel eye as she sucked on her thumb. Were u dreaming? U thought as she grabbed your finger with her tiny hand. Picking her up you realize that you had only a few hours before sunrise and to get your niece someone where safe and it was going to be a long night.
