Moon Spirit Part 2

I go to my cupboard and pull out my favourite black knee-length skirt and put it on my bed. I look around my room and sigh, I had to move out of my old house and live on my own. I sit on my bed and look at all the pictures I have hung up on the wall, a few of them are from Austin's 16th. That night was one I can never forget and one I know I will always regret.

Jayden came to the costume shop with me and helped me choose my outfit for Austin's party. We had all decided that I would be a vampire, surprise, surprise. We looked in the shop but there weren't really any that I wanted, they had the long black dresses that are stereotypically vampire like, but I didn't want them.
Jayden was going as batman and he already had his costume, Miley and Hannah decided on it for him, he didn't have any say in the matter. Miley and Hannah were going to be pink fairies and they had their costumes sorted too. I was the only one that didn't have a costume ready. Austin was going to be Superman and Alec and Mia were also invited, they were going as vampires too. Alec was going to be Dracula and I was his date for the party.
We were on the way home when Jayden stopped, "Why don't we just ask Mary if we can borrow one of the dresses from the film?"
"Yeah, I didn't think of that. What if they don't have them anymore?"
Jayden sighed and got out his phone, he rang Mary and she picked up quickly. "Hi Mary, it's Jayden. I was wondering if Emma-Rose could borrow one of the dresses for a party?" There was a long pause and Jayden smiled, "Thank you so much, we'll be there as soon as we can." He nodded a few more times then laughed, "Yes, that would be great. Thanks." He put the phone down and smiled at me, "Mary said you could and Lily will do your hair and make-up for you." I cheered and hugged him, "Thank you so much!" We walked home and when we got in Austin and Eric were waiting for us. "Hi, when did you get here?"
Eric looked up and smiled, "About five minutes ago. Have you got your costume yet?"
I smiled and Jayden went into the kitchen, "I'm wearing one of the dresses I wore in the film, but I'm not sure which one yet."
Austin sat down and smacked his leg, "I knew I should have asked you to be my date." I laughed sarcastically and sat next to him, I patted his knee in mock sympathy and smiled, "I'm sure Hannah will make a perfectly good date."
Austin nodded, "Yeah, all that pink girlie stuff, can't wait." I rolled my eyes and Eric sat next to me, "I'm sure you'll be fine with Miley." I winked at him and he ruffled my hair, "Shut up." Miley had asked him out and at first he'd said no but then eventually he said yes, they got on really well together and I was pleased for them. I thought they were the perfect couple and I was sure they would be okay together, "So Eric have you got anything planned for after the party?" Eric looked at Austin and smiled, "Yep."
Austin leaned over me, "What is it?"
"Can't tell you that, sorry."
Austin hit him and I pushed him back, "Boys, boys, honestly." I stood up and they laughed, I pulled Eric up and sat him on the other sofa, Austin still hadn’t gotten over the fact I was stronger than him. I had become a vampire and now everything was so much better than before, true I only liked to feed on human blood and it grossed me out when I wasn’t drinking or craving it, but I preferred it, being a vampire.
Eric crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out at Austin, Austin threw a pillow at him, I caught it and placed it back on the sofa, "Now boys behave or you'll have to sit on the naughty step." They looked at me and we all cracked up, I sat on the floor and Jayden came back in, he handed me my phone. I took it from him and saw I had a message from Alec. I smiled and slid it up, I read the message,

Emma-Rose,
Can we meet later? We need to talk about some things. Say, 5 at the park?
Love Alec.

I swallowed and slid my phone back down, I stood up and Jayden looked at me, "Are you okay?" The good thing about being a vampire was I could hide my real feelings, I could wear a mask all day and no one would even notice. I smiled and waved my hand, "Fine, I'm going upstairs for a bit though." I looked at Austin and Eric, "Behave yourselves, and you can come up if you want, or you can watch TV with Jayden, but no throwing pillows or fighting." They both nodded and I smiled and ran upstairs, I slid my phone back up and text him back.

Alec what's happened? What do we need to talk about?

I sent it and led on my bed, I closed my eyes and then my phone buzzed. I slid it up and read his reply.

What are you on about? Emma-Rose do you need to talk? Nothing's happened, what’s wrong?

I frowned and stared at his text, he hadn't sent me the text. Then who had? My hands began to shake and I shook my head slowly from side to side, "No, oh no, no way." I put my phone in my pocket and went to the window I looked up at the sky and sighed, "Why?" I pressed my head against the window and sighed, my breath fogged up the glass and I looked out into the back garden. I frowned and pressed my face right up against the glass, I saw a man sat in the back garden, he had his eyes closed but his face was looking up at my window. I stepped back and ran down, I ran into the kitchen and threw open the back door, the man opened his eyes and looked at me. I gasped and shook my head, "No, no, no, no."
He smiled and tilted his head to the side, "What's the matter Emma-Rose? Afraid of the light?"
I stepped out the door and slammed it shut, "What are you doing here, Caleb? Did you get bored with Sofia already? Or did she get bored of you?"
He stood up and looked at me hard, "Shut up."
I smiled and walked towards him. "Couldn't you put up with her any longer?" Caleb closed his eyes and opened them slowly, he didn't say anything though, he just looked at me which scared me even more. In the afternoon sun my powers were at their weakest and I got a slight burning in the back of my throat, I needed blood and I was weaker because of that need. I shook my hair out my face and took a step towards him, I growled and lengthened my nails, "If you don't leave now then you will be scattered around in so many places even Sofia won't find all of you." He shook his head and I took another step, "What are you two going to do?"
He threw his head back and laughed, "Why would I tell you that?"
"I'm just curious, you have what you both wanted, you have each other. Why start all this again?"
Caleb looked up at the sun, "It won't have to happen again if you give us your power, then we can simply take the whole world in one go and no one will suffer."
I shook my head and stepped back instead, "Over my dead body." I spat and it hit him on the cheek, he wiped it away and looked at me with menace in his eyes, "If you insist." I stretched out my senses, I couldn't hear anything, I relaxed a little but when I saw what Caleb was doing I tensed all over.
He held his hands above his head and they were filling with a ball of golden light, I stepped back again and looked up at the sky, I allowed the image of the Moon to fill my mind and I raised my hands. I felt the Moon's power prickle in my veins and I felt something cool in my hands. I looked at them and smiled, I had a ball of silver light in my hands. I brought them down slowly and looked at Caleb, he smiled and brought his hands down. We looked into each other’s eyes and threw our hands forward at the same time. A cry left my lips as I threw everything I had at Caleb.
