A tribute to Sophie and Rue

Sophie flew above the clouds. She didn't know how she got there, but she loved the feeling of the soft, white, piece of fluff below her. She kept jumping from one cloud to another, until she reached a never ending cloud. Here, was where Heaven began. She walked on through the cloud, going in the same direction. She saw a ticket booth, and next to it was an everlasting fence. In the middle, was a golden gate, that was tall, and long. The ticket booth was also golden, with an angel inside. The angel asked Sophie what her name was. Sophie barked in response. The angel scrolled down the list and found her name. Then, she picked her up, and cuddled her. "my little one. Welcome to Heaven" her warm voice soothed Sophie. The gates opened, with a lovely tune, and Sophie walked on the cloud. The ground massaged her paws, every time she touched it. She reached a little village, filled with white houses everywhere, and wondered which one she would live in. She saw a girl, happily picking flowers, and sitting in a tree. This girl was whistling a four-beat song, and Sophie felt relaxed at the notes. She ran to the girl, wondering who this girl was. The girl laughed, and picked Sophie up. Sophie felt a warm glow on her, and the girl felt loved. She cuddled the dog, and then wrapped her in a blanket. Sophie cuddled into her side, very warm. The girl hummed the notes again, and Sophie fell asleep. After Sophie slept, the girl smiled, and layed her down to rest. Then, the girl decided to go visit Thresh, and tell him about the little dog. When she arrived, Thresh was petting his golden retriever, Dune. She walked up to him, and cuddled in his lap. He was like a brother to her. He sang her the song that Katniss sang to her when she was dying:

Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your eyes. And when they open, the sun will rise

Here it's safe, and here it's warm, and here the daises guard you from every harm. And here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true. Here is the Place where I love you!

And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.

Rue fell asleep, and Thresh walked out, to go pick her some flowers to keep. He came across Sophie, laying in the grass and picked her up. He gave Sophie to Dune, which cuddled her, and slept. Then, he walked back, and put some flowers in a vase. Heaven is truly the best place there is. Sophie, Rue, Thresh, Dune, and (here is where you can say any deceased loved ones) are all safe and happy in the wonderful realm of heaven :)
