The mother i never knew

Beep beep my alarm clock went off I got up and got dressed for school then I curled my hair before applying my make up. I then headed down stairs and said good morning to my dad and step mum they say good morning Arizona you see my mum died when I was born or at least that’s what my dad says and he meet Meredith when I was three and they got married when I was 8 now I’m 14 I’ll be 15 in a week.

My step mum says do you want a lift to school sure I say we head for school as soon as I get there I kiss her goodbye then I meet my mates you see we are the popular group we are liked by everyone excepted those we pick on. I kiss my boyfriend ty on the cheek
We walk passed the nerds they look for a second and I’m like what do you want freaks then me and bestie Melanie giggle along with our other friends Carly, Brittney, Serena and my other best mates Taylor and layla I’ve been friends with them since primary school. I get my books and head to class We have math but as usual we don’t do our work as soon as class finishes its recess my friends brought up the subject about my mum they said do you know anything about her I said not much all I know she has red hair and her name starts with a but that’s it they don’t talk about her much and when I bring it up they change the subject oh and she is an elegant classy type person and its all I know but I’m happy having Meredith she is like my mum and she treats me like her own. Plus she makes my dad happy and that’s all I need right they say then Carly said I do know something you might not know I over heard them talking and they said your mum is from new york or that she may be living there huh we say yea I recorded it said Carly we listen and heard it all she is from new york and that she lives there. Why would my dad never tell me? I don’t know they said maybe had a reason well it better be good cause I’m gonna pin him down tonight school finished I put my I pod on then I began to walk as I crossed the road I bumped into to a red head lady I said sorry but in a nasty tone you ought to be she said I thought to myself glad I don’t have her as my mum. I got home but before was going to talk to my dad I heard them talking saying Addison is not her mum she has nothing to do with her you’re her mum she just gave birth that’s all so I knew what my mums biological name was its kind of weird but any way.

I go to the kitchen and quickly they stop talking about my mum then I asked them does my mother live in new york and is her name Addison hmm they exchanged looks and said no I then said really then why did you mention her name I have prof which says that she lives in new york and I then said I think I ran into her today as I was walking by this time they gave up and spoke. They said that my dad was married to her then she slept with someone but she hadn’t got pregnant yet with me it was only later that she did with my dad then a little while later he found out she had slept with someone else and he knew about me so he stayed with her till I was born then it was decided that I would live with my dad as my mum didn’t want to raise me on her own so we moved to Seattle then when I was two they got back together for a short while then she left him to go back to new york then he meet my step mum I know this was a lot to take in they said but it is so good to get the truth out angry and hurt I ran off to my room. Crying not knowing what to do then Meredith came and said you know your dad lied for a reason cause she came

back for you numerous times and he thought when you were older he would say something else then when you was old enough he would tell you she then left me I then texted my friends to say I’m coming over I get there and we talk they said you really shouldn’t be mad at your dad he just wanted to protect you but the same time he should have told you sooner yea I said but I think I ran into her today after school cause her name was Addison and she fit the description of what my dad had said so I knew it was her but at that time I never knew hmm they said maybe it was just another person with the same name maybe I said. I go home and find a visitor my parents bring me to the kitchen and say this is your birth mum Addison meet Arizona I looked at her and I was right it was her she said well hi sweetie and I said hi back then they left and she then came and hugged me saying she had loved me her whole life and that she wishes she was there for everything I said it was fine and that I was glad to finally meet her.


Then she left and said she would see me more often now then they both talked to me they said they were sorry for not telling me sooner its ok I said but at least I know who she is then my dad said we would share custody of you they said on Easter you go there in new york then on your birthday she’ll come down and since she is in town she’ll stay till your birthday then school holiday you go there then the summer you go there for two months then the last month you came back here then thanks giving she has you then Christmas here then new years eve and new years day with her then here again ok I said . I say good night and head to bed at school the next day I said I got to meet my mum and it was the women I bumped into any ways most of the school holidays I’m with her really where in New york oh they said well now youknow your mum we should prep your 15th birthday
