I looked over at Melony" what makes you think that i asked softly." my face was blank, and was filled with confusion. i was getting good at lying. but i hated it to. i hated lying to her. she tilted her head, then sighed and shook it off" nothing, i just thought, i don't know, just forget it." i nodded" okay i said softly." i turned around and calmly walked to my room. when i got in i shut the door, and locked it. i walked over to the mirror to see a glowing around me. it was pure white. and very thin. hard to notice unless you were looking for it. how did she notice? humans weren't able to see this stuff? i shrugged it off and plopped down on the chair next to my mirror" why can't i be normal again." i whispered to my mirror. my phone started ringing. it was Cameron. the only other good dark angel i knew. i sighed and answered it" what's up Cameron." i said softly as i played with my hair" hey, i sensed you were in distress, what's the matter?" i softly chuckled" it's nothing, just dealing with Melony, and getting packed for Sacramento on Tuesday. i'll be there around 6:00 PM." i ran my fingers through my hair" i knew she'd wonder why we were going to Sacramento for no reason, so i decided to make her think it was for her birthday, to meet smosh and hang out with them for 2 weeks." i moaned" i'm not looking forward to this, they sounded like they were happy that we were coming, probably because we were girls." i laughed. Cameron chuckled" probably, humans are simple like that. but don't forget, we have to keep Melony safe, and you. they want you dead, and i feel like they'll go after her to get to you. if they don't know were you are, they'll give up for a bit." i nodded. then realized he couldn't see me" yeah." i mumbled. i fumbled around with my thumbs, then looked out the window" how's Arianna? i heard she got in a nasty fight with an immortal?" Cameron huffed" yeah, it was bad, well, for the immortail, Arianna is fine." i nodded" that's good." yeah it is." he said softly.
i sighed" well, i better let you go, i'll see you when we get there... bye Cameron."
i could hear him smile softly through the phone" bye Rose." he said softly. i hung up the phone. he usually called me Rosey.. why did he call me rose? i sighed and grabbed my suitcase and started packing some stuff i knew i'd forget about later on. Melony knocked on the door" can i talk to you she said quietly." i looked at her as she walked in" yeah, what's the matter hun?" i asked her soothingly. she plopped onto my bed face first" i'm worried about Sacramento." she said bluntly" what are you worried about?" i asked her calmly. she looked up" first off, what if we get in a car crash on the way there, second, what if Ian and Anthony don't like me?" i sighed and sat next to her" they'll like you, your beautiful, smart, nice, cheerful. don't worry about it sweet heart." i smiled warmly at her. and it was no lie. she was beautiful. she had wavy blond hair, and bright blue eyes. soft pink lips. and the perfect nose. she was very smart, and brave, very noble, and sometimes a bit shy. she reminded me of me when i was... human. she leaned on my shoulder" thanks Rose, you truly are a good person." i lay'd my head on hers" i don't know about that i murmured." i looked at the wall. in fact, i didn't know if i was even going to make it through life with all these terrible impulses. the thought of burning down cities, and killing innocent people. it always made me a bit happy? i shivered and closed my eyes, as i prayed for the lord to take Melony into his arms, and protect her, above my life. she will always be above my life. my little sister. i smiled and hugged her.
