Summer Vibes

It was the first official day of summer and my best friend Wraith had spent the night with me. We slept until late afternoon then awoke to an empty house, we decided to make some breakfast. We ate waffles and cereal then decided to jump on the trampoline for a few hours out back. The rest of the day was spent dancing to music and getting ready for the evening. When my mother got home she helped us load our luggage into the minivan and we were off for the airport. Two seventeen year old girls traveling across the country to spend their first summer vacation on their own, well not completely alone there was my brother Travis and his two roommates. Wraith was like family and it took us four months to convince our parents we were ready for this but I knew the moment we stepped on the plane and took our seats neither of us were truly sure anymore.
