I need help from the male species!!! (yes, you're a species now)
Chapter 1
Why????
alright, so my guitar teacher (age 26) dumped his girlfriend because she wanted to get married, and it just got me thinking, why are guys so scared of commitment??? i mean, i'm 14, so it's not like i'm getting married any time soon, but someday, i wanna have kids and a family, and i don't wanna have to go through a thousand break-ups cuz of lack of commitment before i get there! boys, don't you wanna go to your son's first baseball game? or walk your daughter to the car on prom night? be a dad? what's wrong with that?
can somebody please help me out here? preferably guys, cuz this is your head we're talking about.

I'm not a guy... But... I think I know... A commitment is life, or at least for a long time, he maybe wasn't... Ready for that, he's afraid his gf might... Cheat. You know what I mean? If I had to marry, I wouldn't till I'm certain that my partner will never break that commitment for life, no, forever.
I guess some guys are just afraid of responsibility. In the case of your guitar teacher, you probably don’t know the full story. Maybe the two were incompatible or he didn’t love her enough. But most of us in the male species do want to find someone who we can love and cherish forever; it just takes a while to understand what will truly make us happy, and that’s part of growing up.
My thought is that they might not have been in a relationship all that long. I know that I don't really want to have a serious commitment if we've only been together for a couple of months. If i were in a good relationship for a year, give or take a couple of months, and we seemed to fit well together, then a serious commitment might happen, but other than that, it might be a no-go. I know there are ups and downs in a relationship, but its good to know that the relationship works.
