Into the darkness

I stared into the darkness. The trees seemed to move and talk in the breeze. I started to move towards the forest when I saw them... They were dim and white. They were floating orbs. I froze and gasped at the circles that floated in the darkness. I turned to run back into my house when I heard someone whisper,

" You'll never realize the truth until it's too late.."
" Leave me, ALONE!" I screamed running into the house. I locked the doors and closed the blinds.... I felt my heart beat quickly as I leaned against the counter-top.
"Layla, what's wrong?" My roommate Kristen walked in with her black hair tousled.
" Uh- no. I'm fine.." I ran my fingers through my blonde hair.

" You sure don't look like it.." Kristen rolled her eyes and opened the fridge. She pulled out an empty milk container. " Really? La? Really?" She threw the empty milk container at my leg.

" Ha-ha!! Stop Kristen!" I giggled. She came over to me and pushed me down.
" Why'd you drink my milk, Layla? Huh? Why?!" She laughed and pushed me around the kitchen.

Then Kristen stopped all of a sudden. And looked out the front door window, which was behind me..
"La? Did you leave my car lights on?"
