The Change ( chapter 2)

Mom and Erik were really quiet for a minute. Then Mom said to Erik, " I thought you told her." "I thought you had already told her," said Erik. Aww geez. It looked like they were forgetting to tell me about "Hogwarts." " Well Riley, we're sorry we didn't tell you," said Mom, " Let me take you to your room and tell you all about Hogwarts." Great, now I can know what the heck is going on. She took me down to my room and we sat down on the side of my bed. " Hogwarts is a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are four houses in Hogwarts. Gryfindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. You get sorted in either one of the houses by a Sorting Hat. There are seventh, sixth, fifth, fourth, third, second, and first years. You will be a first year since it's your first time to Hogwarts. First years are 11 like you, second years are 12, third years are 13, fourth years are 14, fifth years are 15, sixth years are 16, and seventh years are 17. There is a common room for each house. You will share a room with four other girls with four beds if you are a girl. It's same for the boys. You have classes with all the 1st years in each house. The classes are Herbology, Broomstick Lessons, Defense Against The Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration, and Charms. There is also a sport you can try out for. It's called Quiddich. It's a sport for both boys and girls. First years don't usually go to the quiddich team. If you make it though, you'll be lucky. The people at Hogwarts can tell you all about it. So this is mostly all the information you need for Hogwarts. Do you understand now?" explained Mom. I nodded my head. I seemed to get it. "Is this the reason why we're moving to London?" I asked. " Yes. And your dad has bought a huge mansion for you and him since that he is now a writer. And Erik and I had bought a house for your sister, you, and us," said Mom. " Okay," I said. Things SEEMED to look okay. But I doubted it. I knew what was going to happen when we moved to London and when I would go to Hogwarts. Things were going to be the same as usual. I just know it. I am just going to be bullied, misunderstood, overlooked, and isolated like I had always been. I would never really make friends, I would never change, and I would never be like the other kids and teenagers, so why even be excited? NOTHING is going to change at all. Things are always going to be just the same. I am going to be wasted. I am going to be betrayed and thrown away like a piece of trash. NO ONE, deserves to live a life like this. If I have to handle this for this year, then I am so done. I am going to be done with this life.
