Chapter 1: Miss Storm
"Do not move," Ariel said quietly as she placed her sword at the neck of her enemy. A rush of adrenaline coursed through Ariel's veins at the look on an injured woman's face. She sat below the man Ariel was now holding and cried silently.
Ariel's next words were soft and calm, "Drop your weapon."
She heard the soft brush of the knife against his skin as he spoke back. "Miss Storm," he said lightly with a light laugh in his throat. "What is a woman such as yourself going to do with a man like me?"
He moved almost slipping from her grasp, but Ariel pressed the knife harder to his throat and leaned in nice and close. "I suggest you follow my directions. I am the not the type of woman who very much enjoys cleaning her sword, but if I have to then so be it." As if to warn him, she pressed the knife slightly closer to his neck. A thin line of blood trickled down his neck.
Ariel felt the fear awaken in the man she had come to learn so much about. Ariel could see the devil in his eyes, the evil lurking just beneath the surface. She remembered the stories about a Sir Jacobs and his unrelenting tortourous ways towards women.
Sweat broke out across Ariel's forehead. "Release your weapon." she said grimly. "Now."
Although Ariel could sense his fear, Jacobs did something she had not expected. He moved away from the sword quickly enough to reach for his, but as he came to stab at Ariel she raised the blade and knocked his down as if it were a mere insect. Surprise flickered across Jacob's face. He recovered quickly and reached again to stab her in the abdomon.
"Move, now." She yelled at the woman as Ariel advanced on him. She swipped his shoulder (mentally congratulating herself when he flinched and moved back for a moment.)
Ariel leaned back on her sword and waited for him to look up and get angry, but her thoughts were interrupted by the loud opening of the thick wooden door. Distracted for only a moment Ariel turned to the left.
"Look out!" the woman screamed.
Ariel lifted her sword with lightning fast reflexes and blocked his upcoming attack, but it wasn't enough. The force of the sword pushed the tip into her shoulder blade and dug through her back in a jagged diagnol line.
Ariel did not scream as she had once done she turned herself fully around, despite the bleeding and moved her sword quicker than she had before. Jacobs had trouble countering her attacks and before long both had scratches and skin stained of blood. Finally, Jacobs was distracted by a movement from the woman he had captured. It was all Ariel needed.
She dug her sword into his chest and pulled it back out. With her eyes closed she turned back around and headed for the woman. Jacobs had died instantly...

Author's Note: This is just a rough draft of what is to be. I'm hoping to make the fighting scene longer and more drawn out and detailed, but I am exhausted and I lack the skill at the moment. Please feel free to comment and rate... Add me if you like :)
*Please note that Chapter 1 continues into "Chapter 2."
Thank you,
Miss Lady
