Looking Back (A Fred and George Weasley Love Story)
I don't know why I'm writing this. The healer says it will make me feel better. Come to terms with his death. I don't think so. No much make me feel better about murdering someone then betraying their memory. They say it's not my fault. I don't know whose it could be, except mine. Anyway, I don't really have a choice so here goes....
Chapter 1
Where To Begin?
I think this is the best way to start. You can't know my story unless you know a little about me. Here's some information about me:
Name: Amy Jessica Mander
Date Of Birth: 7th May 1978
Date of Start at Hogwarts: 1st September 1988
House at Hogwarts: Gryffindor.
Wand: Ash and Pheonix feather. 11 inches.
Blood Status: Pure blood.
Family: Father, Thomas Graham Mander, teacher of Transfiguration at Durmstrang. Mother, Sally Grace Mander waitress at the Leaky Cauldron. Brother, Jacob David Mander, 2 years older, Gryffindor.
Appearance: Long dirty blond hair, grey eyes. Straight nose, thin face, slight dimples when laughing. I have a faint scar leading from the corner of my left eye to my hairline above my ear but that is a more... recent addition to my face. Quite tall. Thin. I couldn't say I was pretty but I never found any particular grievances against my appearance.
Personality: Straight talking, a bit shy, clever.
I suppose I better start at the beginning. I was born to a happy family, a typical, average, everyday family. The only exception possibly being the absence of my father during the school term when he was teaching at Durmstrang. We knew I would be a wizard. My family was pure blooded and it was always assumed.
My first sign of magic was when I was playing catch with my brother. He was 11 and starting at Hogwarts that September. I was 8. My brother threw the ball to me and it was about to soar over my head when it stopped in midair directly above me and dropped into my hands. Everyone seemed excited but to me, living in a house of wizards, it just seemed like an inevitable and completely normal event.
I lived happily, cultivating me new magical skill, listening eagerly to tales if Hogwarts told by my parents and my brother. My favourite pastime was to sit on the foot of my brother's bed in the holidays and hear all about the funny things that happened at Hogwarts that term. He told me he was friends with a boy named Percy Weasley and a couple of times he went to stay at the Weasley's house over Christmas.
All in all, I was pretty much desperate to get to Hogwarts. Little did I know, that would be the place where all the trouble started...
