ok, so i need a song to sing a song for the talent show at my school. i was gonna play wake me up when september ends on the piano, but i might sing a song! but i need a good one first!

I would try an Adele Set Fire To The Rain if you have a rougher voice like mine, which would also be great for country songs if you like those, but if you wanna play the piano while singing, then I would suggest a song like, love song by Sara Barielles, which is also a good piano song, or maybe even Katy Perry's Firework for the high voices.
I've had experience with Talent Shows. I've entered a few local ones, came in second one year, first in another.

If you can play the guitar i would recomend doing that and singing titanium by daid guetta ft. sia.
it is a great song but also quite hard: there are very low parts to the sond and very high parts too.
But is would be so good to perform cos if you look up some people performing it on youtube it is really entertaining.

Hmmm.... 'Astronaut' by Amanda Palmer is a good song with piano and singing. And it's the type of song that can be sung no matter what type of voice you have.

'Across The Sky' by Emilie Autumn is another good one. It's a good positive song, and works for any kind of voice. (and I think the music behind it is beautiful.)

'Second Hand Faith' also by Emilie Autumn is another song like that, with very cool piano in it.
(I chose mostly piano songs to suggest, since you said you can play piano.)

(Note: my music is a bit out of the ordinary. But I think it would be cool to do something a little different in a talent show. I used to do vocal recitals for 3 or 4 years. So I do have experience with this too.)
