Chapter 1
First Year
'Pandora Tersan.' I heard my name finally called, it looked like I was the last person. I got up an walked slowly to the front ov the hall. I bit my lip as the sorting hat was placed on my head. 'Hmmmm... now let me see, you're a tricky
one, brave but only when the need arises, a loyal friend but does not forgive easily and a love for luxury and riches, you are definetly either a Slytherin or Gryffindor. Hmmm..you could go far in Slytherin.....but still....... GRYFFINDOR!!!'
The Gryffindor table burst into applause as the sorting hat yelled this and I walked down to my new house table my head still reeling from what it had said. I sat down at the Gryfindor table beside some friendly red-headed twins and tucked into the amazing food that appeared moments after I sat down. After dinner was over, a prefect lead us to the beautiful red and gold Gryffindor dorms and I fell into a deep, exhausted sleep.
Draco's POV
I sat down at the Slytherin table a smile on my face. I was in the best house in Hogwarts, I knew I'd get in it. After about what seemed like a million hufflepuffs, a blonde girl stood up, I was sorry I had missed her name. She looked
like all the color had been drained out of her except for her dark heavily lashed eyes, she walked slowly and gracefully up to the sorting hat. I hoped she would be in Slytherin as well, damn she was hot! I could see her nervously biting her lip, her dark eyes skimmed the hall, the sorting hat seemed to be taking much longer than usual, it had yelled Slytherin almost before it touched my head....... 'GRYFFINDOR!!!' it yelled and applause went up from the Gryffindor table, some of my table groaned and I sneered at her, she was a worthless
Gryffindor, probably not even pureblood.
Food appeared on the table and we all tucked in, Crabbe and Goyle stuffing it down their throats like the would never eat again, finaly a prefect led us down to our rooms ( which were good enough, though not as luxurious as my own at home) I changed out of my robes and quickly fell asleep.
Pandora's POV
I quickly settled into Hogwarts, I was really happy I had been sorted into Gryffindor. I shared a room with a girl with bushy brown hair called Hermione and we were soon close friends. Everyone had started calling me Panda, even
some of the Slytherins, instead of Pandora because of my slightly unusual appearance (parents, please keep your bleaching potions away from your children!) I didn't mind at all it was cute and better than Pandora anyway.
I loved the classes here, one thing me and Hermione had in common was we both loved learning new spells all the time and would stay up reading and practising. Hermione was very studious and always had her head in a book, she already read every single textbook for this year. I didn't do so much reading but I looked ahead in my books and learnt the more advanced spells that looked fun.
My wand wasn't a new one, I got it when me and my mother went travelling the world for a few years. The sequoia wood it was made from was made was beautiful, antique looking and beautifully polished and had delicate leaves
carved around the base of it. When I picked it up, I felt a warm sensation travel down my arm and a cascade of golden sparks erupted from it's tip. Ollivander may the best wandmaker, but I doubt he could make a wand that suited me as well as this one.
The only thing that bothered me at Hogwarts was Draco Malfoy. He was a blonde Slytherin almost as pale as me with a massive attitude problem. I suprisingly, managed to get on ok with most of the Slytherins, but Malfoy seemed to make it his lifes goal to wind me up. He was the only person more talented at hexes than me and never stopped using them on me. Euughh why did I have to be in almost every single class with him? Over the next few years we were at war with eachother.
