Forever and Ever

She raced forward into the woods, never looking back. Each step took her further from reality and even further from fake. Her heart was pounding through her chest as she sped through the forest. The question was, 'Why is she running?' or was it 'What is she running from?' Fate, that was the answer. Fate told her to escape into the woods to escape her thoughts and dreams...Or was she really actually running from fate? Whatever the reason, it didn't matter. She knew what she was running to. That was to the place that would ultimately take her to Lisa's Island...although it was called the Island of Death, and she never intended to go there, and nobody knew what the inhabitants called it.
She ran faster and faster, knowing they would be on her any minute now. She breathed harder and harder, knowing every breath counted. She crashed through the underbrush of the forest and tripped on rock after rock without falling. Her hair got yanked out of it's pony tail by a stray branch and the girl lost a shoe to the mud. Still, they followed her. They would never let her go...not unless she got on a boat. They hated water. She was running out of breath when finally, she saw it. The shore line was right in front of her! She could barley contain her energy as she rushed to a docked boat and climbed aboard.
Instantaneously, the ship took off into the deep, blue, Pacific Ocean where she would never again return from...feeling the same way as she did before.
