Isn't that always the way

If time never lived and clocks didn't tick
Would the light become dark or more blinding?
Would the world just wake up and for once see the sun
After a lifetime of always complaining

If speaking was painful and no one would listen
Would you turn your back on my words?
Could the earth still revolve around something more wrong
Than a problem that needs a solution

Most people will say that that's just the way
And nothing is going to change
But I truly believe, if you only could see
We could all do our best for today

But isn't that always the way
There's always another day
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is near
But the problems are here to stay
But everyone tries to forget
What life has in store for them yet
Cos for now it's okay, they can live one more day
Before the tears of sorrow and regret

Still life will go on, and the earth will continue
As if it was any other day
Though fear will sink in and straight lines will bend
And the world will appear to forget

Soon colour will fade and turn to a shade
And the past will appear so much better
Your dreams will be sad, and you will get mad
And the tears will just make your face wetter
