Perhaps this should come as no surprise. Harry Potter, written by British author J.K. Rowling and comprised of seven novels, has been a world-wide phenomenon for years. The Harry Potter franchise has extended to movies, music, theme parks, and more, and it seems as if the Potter craze is only just beginning. From starting as Ms. Rowling's ticket out of poverty to landing a place on the majority of our bookshelves... the Harry Potter books are a well loved, literary giant fully deserving of this win. Overrated...
I originally wanted Artemis Fowl, because it is FAR too unappreciated. When that was marked off, I went to Hunger Games. Oddly enough, my favorites met their ends with Harry Potter. I guess wizards are more powerful than soldiers or geniuses. Sigh.
