American Snake (A Draco Malfoy Love Story pt.5)

As she ran out the room with tears rolling down her beautiful face, I had this weird feeling in the pit of my stomache. I felt bad for what I did, but He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named would be very pleased with what I did. My mind went back to the time he gave me my assignment.
It was near the end of November. Many of the Death Eaters, who were also parents, requested that their children come home for a week or two for "family issues." Dumbledore had called for an unexpected vacation for all of the houses.
When I arrived at the Malfoy Estate, my parents and aunt were outside. I climbed out of the limo and walked into my mother's embrace. I felt my father pat me on the back. I knew i was about to get into something horrifying just by looking at my family's faces.
We walked into my house and the house-elves took my luggage to my room. my mother never made eye contact with me. That's when I knew "He" had wanted to see me. I knew where he was in the house. I folllowed my instincts and walked to the dining hall that has been turned to a meeting room. When I got there, he was alone with just his snake. His back was turned to me, but he started talking as if he knew exactly who had just walked in.
"Draco Malfoy. I've been expecting you." he turned to face me and I tried not to make eye contact. "I have a favor to ask of you. I'm sure that you wouldn't mind doing this deed for me." he walked and sat at the head of the table. Respectfully, I sat down in the closest chair to me.
"Earlier this week, death eaters killed a wizard and his muggle wife in California. Their daughter, who is your age, is going to attend hogwarts starting next week." he held his hands up in front of him. he waited for a reaction from me. when i didn't give any, he continued. "She will be very useful to me. She has a power unlike any other in the magic world. I need to harness her power in order to defeat Potter."
"What do you need me for?" i didn't understand why he was telling me. couldn't he just order two death eaters to kidnap her?
"Because i need her to trust you. even fall in love with you. once she has expressed her feelings for you, her powers will be at it's most powerful. So, you must bring her here before she says she loves you. only then can i trap her powers."
His plan seemed alright then. i used to play with girls' hearts. But when i first layed my eyes on Faith, I knew this task wasn't going to be easy. I knew i was going to fall in love with her.
When third period ended, i walked to my next and best class: potions. It was held in the dungeons of the castle and it was near the Slytherin dorms. The Slytherin Headmaster, Snape, was the professor for this class.
i got into the class room and sat down at my usual seat with my usual friends. They told me that i did a great job humiliating Faith. I went along with the joke, but deep down inside, i felt really bad for what i did.
"Please open your books to page 558. Today's lesson will be about potions that corrupt the mind and emotions. i will assign each of you two potions to make. you must complete these potions by the end of the class period today." I read the chapter and Snape assigned the love and the memory loss potions. it was no coincidence.
