Chapter 1

Escape

It's 1994. I'm about 16 during this time. I lived in Los Angeles but now England where I lived most of my life.
Yet, my life wasn't what you would call a 'normal' life. I remember when I was about 10 years old I was being chased by my classmates and didn't know why till I asked my father.
I'm the son of a Beatle.
My name is Dhani and my father is George Harrison.

Though, it didn't happen frequently, it did happen. They saw me as important just of the fact I was their son. For awhile, I was alright with that but it gets exhausting when paparazzi won't leave you alone. My dad encouraged to go to a private school where it would be more quiet and I could get my education.
'I understand son,' he would say, 'Remember I used to be called 'the quiet Beatle' just because I couldn't talk for an interview.'
In reality, my father was full of life but desired peace and quiet as well.
We registered into a private school not too far from Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
We even personally asked the principal if we could have my name to only be shown in the grades but to be called differently. It was a stretch, I know.
'I suppose so, Mr. Harrison. I can inform all the teachers he has classes with to call him by.....'
'Daniel Wilbury,' I said. Wilbury was the name of my father's group with some old time musicians but it never grew or anything. Hopefully, someone wasn't too crazy about my father to remember that short event.
I was given by schedule and a uniform. I could do this, I thought. It's only for two years. Just two years.

First day of private school was the same day for any public school in September. This private school wasn't run by any religious organization but of an agency of the government. This means I had to be the best if I wanted to pass.
I felt the pressure overloading as I thought about it.
I stepped into my 1st period Algebra and Trigonometry class. I should have done something with my appearance because everyone tried to decipher who I looked like.
'Welcome, Mr. Ha- Mr. Wilbury. Please have a seat next to Jason.' I quickly sat down, thinking if anyone would find out.
I hate being praised for something I wasn't there for. My hair was cut- no moptop though my mother thought it would be cute. I shaved off my mustache that would appear soon and any other facial hair.
But, now, that just made me more like my father when he was a teenager.
Jason whispered to me, 'You look really familiar. I can't put my finger on it.'
Maybe people forgot about my father.
I spent the first day with a relaxed mind, nobody was hollering or chasing me. just peace and quiet. I had to go their library for my studies and research a paper for my history class.
I sat at an elongated table close to a girl. That girl would change me into something I wasn't aware of till now.
