Okay, I'm auditioning for my school's swing choir. We are allowed to pick our audition song and I need help deciding. I'm an alto but I can travel to the mid-soprano range quite easily. Here are some songs I'm thinking of singing based on how they sound with my voice and how much I like the lyrics:

If I die young is a great choice for an alto.... Im sort of in that vocal range, but Im a mezzo, so..... yeah, i think that would be your best choice;)

Yes, I agree, I think that If I die young is a beautiful song, and that shows off your range! Im a soprano personally, but I still love singing that song. I think that Safe and Sound is so pretty, but doesn't really show off the voice, just my opinion. I'm sure you'll do great! :)

If I Die Young. I'm an Alto and my friend . . . can pretty much go from Tenor to Soprano and we can both sing that song :) It's a great choice for you.

Well we already said our opinion. It's not that we're just saying it because we could care less, we thought about your voice range, and picked the best option.
Again, sorry if I offended you. But have you even heard of Lies? If you never had, you wouldn't know how it sounded and how it might fit my range.
