Chapter 1
Garrett
Just gonna start with a little description
Name: Garrett (Last name unknown)
Age:16
Dark brown, scruffy hair, green eyes, tall, toned (but not too noticeably)
wears dark colours all the time
I led sprawled on the sofa, an old hardback resting on my chest as i sighed deeply and stared up at the ceiling. I ran my fingers slowly up and down the old leather spine, letting my thoughts take me away in whatever direction they wished to go.
Unfortunately not one i wanted.
Memories of what happened nearly a year ago threatened to surface. I sat up abruptly, the book making a dull thud as it hit the carpeted floor. I ran my now shaky hand through my hair and pushed myself up, pushing the thoughts away at the same time. I bent to pick up the book, one of my Dad's old favourites, and put it gently back on the shelf.
I leaned against the shelf and sighed again; I'd been doing that a lot lately.
My older sister, Louise, strode into the room and ruffled my hair, "Now, now little brother, you said you'd stop sighing."
I rolled my eyes and swatted her hand away, "And you promised to make dinner tonight."
She laughed and tipped her head to the side, feigning thought, "So i did, but i guess we're all good at breaking promises in this house."
I knew where she was going with this and didn't want to hear it, "Louise."
She merely shrugged and walked back the way she had come, "I don't see why i should keep my promises when Mum and Dad broke theirs."
The door slammed shut behind her.
