“If I were the rain. . . that binds together the Earth and the sky, whom in all eternity will never mingle. . . Would I be able to bind two hearts together?” -Orihime
“When you're dodging, you're "afraid of getting hit." When you're attacking, you're "afraid of hitting me." When you're protecting someone, you're "afraid of them dying."
It's pathetic! You can't give into fear in a fight!
When you're dodging, think "I won't let you hit me!" When you're protecting someone, think "I won't let you die!" When you're attacking, think "I will cut you!"
--Urahara Kisuke”
“If I don't wield the sword,
I can't protect you.
If I keep wielding the sword,
I can't embrace you.
-Ichigo Kurosaki”
“If I don't wield the sword,
I can't protect you.
“War is not heroic. War is not exhilarating. War is full of despair. It is dark. It is dreadful. It is a thing of sorrow and gloom. That is why people fear war. That is why people choose to avoid it.
~Izuru Kira”
“Those who do not know what love is
likens it to beauty
Those who claim to know what love is
likens it to ugliness
-Gin Ichimaru”
“Never admit defeat and ask for a quick death! Die first, then admit defeat! If you are defeated but didn't die, it just means you were lucky! At those times, think only about survival! Survive and think only about killing the one who failed to kill you!
~Kenpachi Zaraki”
“We are all like fireworks. We climb, shine and always go our separate ways and become further apart. But even if that time comes, let's not disappear like a firework, and continue to shine... forever.
-Tōshirō Hitsugaya (Bleach)”
“Whats the difference between a king and his horse?I dont mean some kiddy crap like one has 4 legs and the other has 2, or ones a person and ones an animal. If their form, ability, and power is exactly the same, then why is it one becomes the king and controls the battle and the other one becomes the horse and carries the king? There's only one answer...INSTINCT!!!”
― Hollow Ichigo
“We stand in awe before that which cannot be seen. We respect with every fiber of our being that which cannot be explained.”
― Tite Kubo
_Speeches
Kenpachi to Ichigo-"You want a reason ... for fighting? Why don't you just accept it already, Ichigo?! You seek out fights. You desire power. Isn't that right, Ichigo? Everyone who searches for power, without exception, searches for battle! Do you fight in order to become more powerful? Or do you want more power so you can fight? I can't tell you that. The only thing I know for sure is guys like us were born this way! We were born to fight, Ichigo! Your instincts will keep leading you toward new battles. It's the only way you have. The only way to become stronger. Fight, Ichigo! If you want the power to control your enemy, take that sword in your hand and cut him down! That's your only option! That's the road that continues in front of you and remains behind you Ichigo!"
Mayuri to Arrancar-
"There is nothing in this world that is truly "perfect". Though it may be a rather large cliché, it is still the truth. It is the ordinary people who look up to "perfection" as an ideal and seek after it. But in truth, what is this idea of "perfection" truly worth? Nothing. Not a single thing. I detest "perfection". To be "perfect" is to be unable to improve any further. There would be no scope for "creation", not a single gap in one's knowledge or one's ability. Do you see now? To true scientists like you and I, "Perfection" is tantamount to "despair". We aspire to reach greater levels of brilliance than ever before, but never, NEVER, to reach perfection. That is the paradox through which we scientists must struggle. Indeed, it is our duty to find pleasure in that struggle. In other words, the second you allowed yourself to spout a ridiculous word like "perfect", in truth, you had already been defeated. That is if you wish to be treated as a scientist."
Hollow Ichigo to Ichigo(My Fav)-"Ichigo, what's the difference between a king and his horse? I don't mean kiddy crap like "One's a person's and one's an animal" or "One has two legs and one has four." If their form, ability and power were exactly the same, why is it that one becomes the king and controls the battle, while the other becomes the horse and carries the king?! There's only one answer. Instinct! In order for identical beings to get stronger and gain the power they need to become king, they must search for more battles and power! They thirst for battle, and live to mercilessly, crush, shred, and slice their enemies! Deep, deep within our body lies the honed instinct to kill, and slaughter our enemies! But you don't have that! You don't have those pure, base instincts! You fight with your brain. You try to defeat your enemies with logic! And it doesn't work! You're trying to cut them with a sheathed sword! That's why you're weaker than me, Ichigo!"
Yumichika's speech to Charlotte Curlhorne (i can't spell)-"I'm a member of the Eleventh Division - the Gotei 13's specialized combat division. It's full of idiots obsessed with putting their lives on the line. Thanks to the style of our Division, there's always been a kind of unwritten rule that all our Zanpakutō have to be direct-combat types. Just having a Kidō-type Zanpakutō is enough to get a guy labelled a coward. I don't want any of my fellows in the Eleventh Division to see this Zanpakutō's ability. Especially not Ikkaku or my captain. That's why I had to thank you when you concealed us within the briar. If you had not used that technique, then no matter what happened in this battle, I would never have released my Zanpakutō. Even if I were to lose and die at your hands."
Aizen's speech to Shinji-"All living things believe in something greater than themselves. They just can't live on without that blind obedience to something. And those who believe seek worship of something yet higher to escape the pressure of obedience. In turn, even the worshipped seek something greater to believe in. This is how all Kings are born, and so are all Gods. Don't believe in me yet, Hirako Shinji. I'm going to take my time, to teach who that God is you ought to believe in. Worship comes after that"
Aizen-"...In Soul Society, there are no other god's other than the Shinigami, the god's of death. So there is simply no way for us to understand the depth of your words....please forgive us in our disbelife. People die, animals die, plants die, even Shinigami die. "Aging" remains and inevitable fate, to all things that live and die. If death exists for the creations of man, then,so,too, for the creations of Shinigami; "Kidou".There may be kidou that lasts for a thousand years,but...it cannot last forever. Of course it can't. After all, the word "forever" is nothing more than a meaningless word born out of fear of aging"
