You can't be a type of music, people who cut are either attention seeking or have problems and thatt's how they deal with their problems. I'm pretty sure people were self harming way before the 2000's. Emo has always kind of been around. I mean there was punk, new romantics, grungers and goth (I don't mean to offend you).As in everything is just a rip off of the style before.

Glad you do! This is basically just a common sense quiz. Wouldn't be all be emo if it meant emotional? We're all emotional because that's a part of what makes us human. You can't be classed as a emo if you don't listen to the genre and you certainly can't be emo and Goth.

It's so annoying when people write in their bio stuff like "I'm 16 and emo" or something like that when they don't know the true meaning. It's really frustrating.
Especially when they are 16. They should have grown up by now and have matured. Your emo phase could last months or years. Mine lasted a year and then I found who I was.
I agree... why would you label yourself something you don't understand? You wouldn't label yourself a doctor if you really weren't would you? They just don't know the real meaning at all.
