A Moment to Late (~PJATO Fan-Fic~)
Quest of the first,
Heart shared by two,
A child of a goddess painfully brewed,
The mind of a god,
The heart of a beast,
You will only come,
A moment to soon.

This, is the story, of Rosetta Stone.
Daughter, of Gaea.
Chapter 1
Claimed (Rose's POV)
Rosetta sat in the First Cohort's highly comfortable dorm room. Her eyes changed to the color of the grass, a vibrant green, her hair a shade of brown that was clearly not supposed to be natural.
No; Rosetta was not a metamphoragus from Harry Potter, but a twenty-first century child with ever-changing appearances.
So yeah, basically she was a twenty-first-century metamorphagus.
How the child had ended up in the First Cohort was a wonder, a mystery, a miracle.
No letter of recommendation, no godly claiming yet, nothing. Rosetta Stone (yes, ironic name, we all know) was a child. A simple one at that, a life that was full of laughter, a mind full truth.
But to put in the First Cohort of Camp Jupiter? That is something far beyond her life that she led.
Gods know that Octavian hated the thought of her in this Cohort.
Oh, how Rose could still remember the first time she entered the Cohort.
~Flashback~
Rose walked tentivley into her new home. The First Cohort.
Eleven at the time, she knew that the future ahead of her was in fact not very bright.
I'm definatley not a daughter of Apollo then, Rose told herself, proud that she could make a joke at a drastic time like this. A time at which she had been torn from her brother.
"Hey, kid," came a voice, pulling Rose from any thought of her brother.
She turned to find a blonde-haired boy with icy cold eyes holding a teddy-bear and a knife, staring intensely at her.
What is he? The Teddy-Bear-Murder? Rose thought in a snapping mental tone to the boy.
Instead of saying her wonderful comeback, Rose chose to say politely, "Yes?"
"I'm the leader of this Cohort," the Teddy Bear Murder began to instruct her.
Instead of continuing, he stopped, as if Rose was supposed to kiss the ground beneath his feet.
"And...?" Rose urged him, looking at the boy curiously.
"And," the Teddy Bear Murder began in a rather harshly bored tone, "I just want you to know it wasn't my choice to bring a random unclaimed child into my Cohort!"
"Well thank you for an extremely warm welcome," Rose snapped, thus leaving the Teddy Bear Murder in her dust, a snarl having issued to her lips, her eyes red and her hair green.
~End Flashback~
From that moment forward, Rose and Octavian had not gotten along.
At all.
Sighing, the girl got out of the bed she had been lying in, and went outside of her dorm, turning her eyes to brown and making her hair go curly and red.
Not a moment later after she went out of her dorm, a fluttering symbol of green erupted to lift her into the sky.
"Holy Juno!" Rose cried (this is the Roman version of cussing).
"Rose?" Came the familiar voice of Hazel Levesque.
"Yeah..?" Rose called down from her ten foot high pillar.
Before Hazel could respond, people had screamed, fleeing from Rose.
"Daughter of Gaea!" cried one.
"Daughter of Earth!" another voice came.
"Daughter of Evil!" one called.
"Daughter of pain and suffering!" another shouted.
"Daughter, of ignorance."
As confused as she was, she managed to find Reyna in the crowd, who stared up at her, and sighed.
"I take it this has to be part of the prophecy..." She sighed.
"What the hell Reyna!?" She cried.
Slowly, the voice of Hazel came back up to recite seemingly familiar words.

And with that, Rose knew something horrible was her past, present, and her future.
