I Am The Seeker

I get woke up to birds chirping, my alarm clock. I trudge to my bathroom and shapeshift along the way into a mouse. For some odd reason they intrigued me. I change back into my normal body and quickly shower, almost forgetting to wash my hair.

When I finish I dress into my usual clothes, a tank top and shorts. They were the clothes that were easiest to shape shift in. I tuck Cheese, my pet mouse into my pocket and walk out the door.

Another boring day at school I think to myself grabbing an apple down from a tree and breaking off a small piece.

"Eat up Cheese." I whisper to him slipping the piece into my pocket. Animals weren't allowed in school but I couldn't leave Cheese at home by himself.

I walk into homeroom and find my seat in the back corner. Nobody could see me, just a smudge of a figure. I smile to myself. This way I can shape-shift freely.

"Did you hear that a human entered the realm?!" Gossip queen, Misty squeals.

Huh..maybe I could meet himher./ I think. I hope heshe wouldn't be mean to cheese though.../

" Attention class lets begin.." Our teacher for the day, Mr.Jacobs, says as I immediately tune out focusing out shape-shifting my hand into a scaled claw...

I fall out of my chair as the lunch bell rings. A few snickers follow. This happens every other day.

Shape-shifting is exhausting, I think as my stomach rumbles. I head off with the crowd to the cafeteria, getting my lunch and heading over to a tree.

" C'mon Cheese." I murmur as he climbs out of my pocket and onto the next branch. I quickly follow and share my lunch.

"Do you have any lemons for me?" Cheese squeaks looking at me hopefully as I pull out a slice of lemon.

" And for that I must practice my shape-shifting on you." I reply hearing his high-noted groan. I concentrate on transforming him into a sparrow.

"AH! Change me back, change me back!" He squawks as I mentally congratulate myself.

" AS you wish." I say in my most genie voice changing him back into a mouse.

"Woop. Big deal. The little goth girl can change a pathetic mouse into a even more pathetic sparrow." Misty says walking under the tree.

She thinks she's so good, with her ability to control the weather.

"Don't.Start." I say through gritted teeth that were slowly become sharper.

"Oo. I'm soo scared. What cha gonna do? Turn me into a mouse?" My vision becomes sharper as I become smaller turning into a poisonous snake.

"Niya. Don't you already have 2 demerits and 5 marks on your permanent record." Cheese squeaked calming me.

" You have five ssssecondsss to leave before I attack." I hiss my eyes returning to normal as Misty scampers off.

Eventually I turn back right before the class bell goes off. I tuck Cheese into my pocket and skip back into the classroom.

Only 3 more hours of this living dump.
