My Opinion on "Skinny isn't beauty" and "Everyone is beautiful" type of stuff
Yep. I'm just opinionated.
Remember I just generalize through this din't get peeved and say things like "I'M NOT LIKE THAT."
... If anything I'll mainly see it as denial.
Chapter 1
Alright. So, people bang on about how imperfect everyone is and how it's a good thing or whatever. Humans are just humans. Nothing special. They complain about the media saying "thin is pretty" but what people miss is that thin is the current trend.
You know why it's the trend? Why you see it every where? You. How many people on TV and in magazines are thin? Now compare that to the amount of fat people. I'm just going to be blunt and say, when you're watching TV how can honestly say their first impression of a character, portrayed by a larger actor/actress, is how fabulous their hair looks? I honestly believe most would be comparing them to their thinner co-stars.
But that's mainly in actresses. The trouble for our actors is you're hot = more girls watching = more money for the people paying you and yourself.
Can you say that you have never ever been to a movie or anything just because the guys in it were hot?
And that is mainly because every single one of us is used to seeing thinner people. And everyone wants to look like that in some way or another as we like to fit in. Even special snowflakes want to at least look pretty.
Not pretty by them, pretty to everyone.
Beauty maybe on the inside to but no one walks passed someone and says "Oh, hey! You look like you have a stunning personality!" apperances are everyone's first impressions. That's just how we are.
The reason I am against "skinny isn't beautiful" etc is because in this time it is. This isn't me telling you to he thin to be pretty but it's me telling you what I have noticed around my little part of the world.
All we are is little dents in the earth. Tiny. Here for a short time and forgotten in minutes. Most want to be remembered as kind or funny while qnother part of us hopes that people thought we were pretty enough, thin enough.
I want to be remember as glowing and pretty. Not looking like I have a wasting disease and being taken in and out of hospital for the last few months. But many will due to age and cancer and all the other stuff. So the more you do will alive and well the more people have to remember you for.
Trends often change fast but I see the skinny trend staying. Way into the lives of our children etc. Telling everyone they're beautiful, perfect won't make it go away any faster. Practising what you preach will though.
Everyone has beauty of some form but telling everyone they're beautiful... It loses the special feeling of being told you're pretty. Personally, if I am told I'm pretty by anyone that is close to me or anyone that calls everyobe pretty, I will probably ignore it and think they're lying. Not a compliment dig. Say anythijg and I'll be forced to kill you.
Beauty comes in many different forms, not just what's on our skinn. As some as people start realizing it, mayhe this beauty obsession will end. But it will never happen. Ever. Just how humans are. You maybe thinking that it can change I know about beauty on the inside but... You're fooling yourself.
I'm getting tired. I could finish this later. Night.

This is AMAZING because it's very true! We see all these famous people and models and they are all thin and that's why people are hurting themselves trying to get thin. People think they are helping themselves and making themselves healthier when all they are doing is hurting themselves and could kill themselves.
You missed a key point though, WE are the reason these actors need to be thin. Every single one of us are the reason it's like this. It's more our fault than the actors etc. It's how society is.
Very true
Preach :) no words can match up to this, so . . . Keeping it simple.
TRUTH.
True, and I'm glad you think this way. Not many people see this. ^^
Stone cold agreement from this end.
Not many of us haven't looked in the mirror and thought, "Uh oh, is that flubber? Maybe I should slow down on the Chocolate..."
SLOW DOWN ON WITH THE CHOCOLATE?!?!?!? Are you freaking insane? AHHHHHHHHHHHH, CHOCOLATE!
You preach it, man! ;D
What you said is very true. I'd love to say it isn't, but that would be lying. Very much.
I do judge people on how they look practically all the time, everyone does. I have wanted to look skinny and pretty. Yes, everyone does believe skinny is beautiful, and I have been critical of overweight people.
But I hate myself for it! I would like to be non-judgmental, and I would like to accept people the way they are. I wish everyone would. But unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon,
You always add a new story about this every so often and it amuses me. xD I respect your opinion, though, and I agree and disagree with some of your points.
Ugh. People just annoy me and I can sit by and ignore like three reposts before I get really mad o.o
BITCHDIPPA.
.......... Ohmygawd.
SO TRUE.
No words to express how true this is..... Wow. You're right.
