Anorexia

Chapter 1
Anorexia
Have you ever thought of yourself as imperfect? I have. You know that you have. Everyone has. And, it's okay. There's nothing wrong with thinking that you're imperfect. Because, no matter how wonderful you are, you are imperfect. Everyone is imperfect.
Everyone is beautiful inside and out. Everyone is unique. Everyone is special. But everyone is also imperfect. And that is not a bad thing.
If you've ever thought of yourself as "too fat" or "not skinny enough" or you've considered not eating for days on end or throwing up your food after you've eaten it, click on this link:

Anorexia is a serious eating disorder. If you have seen the gymnastics show on NBC, Make It or Break It, you would see how this eating disorder can affect even *Olympic stars.
The definition of anorexia is: An emotional disorder characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat.
Mainly women are diagnosed with anorexia, but men are, too. Don't think it's only a women's disease. Many victims of anorexia end up in the hospital or die from this serious disease.

Read this poem about anorexia:
Skinny isn't beautiful
But yes, happy is
It's not about your weight
It's about how you live
You are beautiful
And you deserve to eat
Your waistline doesn't matter
It doesn't matter if you're beat
You are amazing
But perfect, you are not
No one is flawless
Even if we work a lot
It will be okay soon
I promise, yes, I swear
I will listen to your pain
And I will really care

Repost this, please, if it matters to you. Help people be aware of this disease and that if you catch it in its earliest stages, it can be stopped.
Just remember:
SKINNY ISN'T BEAUTIFUL. HAPPY IS.
*This is a realistic fictional show. Kaylee Cruz, who plays an anorexic gymnast on the show, is not actually anorexic or a member on the 2012 USA Olympic team.

inspiring. :) i want to repost it if it was okay with ou. :) to spread the word. y
Repost it(: Please.
it is ok to be skinny and it can be butieful but it is only butieful when you get there by eating right and exresise you can tell the healfy skinny from the unhealthy skinny and we all need to be healthy skinny
But when you're skinny and you're happy, then it's beautiful.
:)
You are right, it is ok to say that you are imperfect, because you are not perfect, no one is! However, it is right to say that you are beautiful, remember every woman/girl is beautiful, whether you're petite, medium, or curvy. :)
What I mean is, when you're skinny and you're happy, then it's beautiful.
thanks for helping people, Kenzie. and thanks for linking back to my poem :)
No problem(;
This is great, Kenzie. :)
However, I'm naturally really skinny- it's almost impossible for me to put weight on. So maybe just put emphasis on that skinny is good too, as long as you're healthy and happy?
What I mean is, as long as you're happy, it doesn't matter how much you weigh(:
I agree completely. This is a real issue out there. I heard that the majoity of the women on this planet would rather be hit by a truck than be fat. There are also more women suffering from eating-disorders than there are women with breast-cancer in America. We need to realize a new goal; that health is the real beauty, not weight.
