It Took A Minute (One Direction Group Story)

I fell asleep easily, with Lulu curled into the pillow beside mine, and everything pitch black.

"Meow!" That's what I woke up to. The constant calling of Lulu as she looked and hissed at my phone. I just laughed and got out of bed. When I grabbed my phone off of the charger, I saw that Carter had texted me.

/Hey!/ /SO/ /SORRY/ /I/ /DIDN'T/ /WRITE!/ /:'(/ /How/ /was/ /coming/ /home?!/ /Need/ /and/ /help/ /with/ /anything??/
I just laughed. She always kinda worried about me, but I always worried about her.
Well found out that Theresa * is* really sick.

I got dressed, and I knew that Carter had to work today, so I'd meet her at work. I didn't get a text from her back, but I can only imagine what that woman that she supposedly calls 'Mother' is doing. She disgusts me. When I heard about Hollis and Brian, I was ecstatic! But her mother denied it. Didn't want to have someone in her family like that. Now I knew that Carter wanted to get out of there. Wanted to get away from her little slice of anti-heaven, and I knew the exact way to get her out of there, and bring Hollis too.

"/Ooh/ baby don't you know I suffer?" My phone played. "Hello?" I asked as I sat back on my bed. "Hey little princess" A familiar voice said happily. "Uncle G?" I squealed hopefully. "Are your parents coming home today?" He asked unsurely. I just laughed. "Who are my parents again? But no, they're getting a friend of theirs to come and check on me." I siad unhappily. "The people that gave birth to you, but I can understand where that hostility is coming from" He laughed.

"When are you getting in?" I asked excitedly. "In an hour or so" He sighed. Uncle G is coming from Ireland. He used to live in Hawaii with his girlfriend, but finally he dumped her when he found out she was using him. "Then I'll get a vehicle to pick you up" I siad happily. "I'm actually staying in a hotel for a while Ci. But I'm coming over everyday. Gonna meet that boyfriend of yours" He teased.

"Oh, I dumped him a few months ago. Stupid golddigger" I huffed. He laughed on the other end, and I smiled. I missed all of my family, but because of my stupid 'parents', I was never allowed to see or visit my family on the outside of the house. Or as I called it, my 'jail cell.' "I gotta go princess Cierra, but I'll come over as soon as I get settled in my apartment" He siad happily. "Ok. Bye Uncle G. Love you" I siad as I was about to hang up. "Bye Ci, love you too." He said as I heard the sound of disconnection. I cleaned the house up as best I could, and I heard my phone ringing. "Hello?" I yawned. "Cierra. Will you be a dear and open the door" A mysterious voice asked. It was male, and to my ability, it sounded like he was in his mid 30's, tall and dark hair. "I'm sorry, I'm unable to authorize that request. May I ask your reason to come inside?" I asked unhappily. "Your parents sent me to check on you. So technically, I'm allowed authorization" He siad smugly. "Alright. I'm trusting on your word" I siad as I opened the doors, and the sound of someone walking through the house. "Good afternoon Ms. McKay" He siad as he took his shoes off, and looked at me happily. Man, I was right! He was tall, dark haired, light-skinned and light brown eyes that almost looked kinda yellow-ish. "Is it afternoon already?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes. "Indeed it is" He siad as he walked around the house. Let me give you a tour as I give you the information needed to complete this job" I said as I guided him upstairs.

Something didn't seem right about this, about him. But I had to trust that my parents gave him the job of looking into my condition and the condition of this house more than my condition.

Soon, I have to see Carter, and Hollis. They're the people I can always trust to be my gravity.

And every year, this is what I have to do. Answer endless questions, and listen as I get criticised about things I can't control.

I'm living without a life, and I've been like this for the past 10 years.
