Just a thought
When I give someone a compliment and they say "Oh, I don't believe you." or "That's not true." It's difficult for me not to say, "Just suck it up and take the compliment"...but I've been thinking.
We've created this need in people to recieve praise, this need and hunger for them to hear that they ARE good enough. Because we so often shoot them down with bullying and rude comments. It takes so little to destroy someone's self confidence...and so long to build it back up.
I feel the need now when I give someone a compliment to say "Smile and believe it...because it's TRUE...God doesn't make mistakes...and he certainly didn't make one when he made you." ♥
