The Truth Shall Set You Free~ A Divergent Group Story
Group story by me (time4dance) and wizard234. It was wizards234's awsome idea to come up with doing a Divergent group story. She just wanted me to start it. Characters are Maia Creset who is done by wizard234 and Calypso Wryn who is done by me time4dance. Well I suppose you can guess what their faction is. I hope I wasn't being to obvious. :)
Please comment and rate. With a cherry on top. :)
Chapter 1
The Black Sleep~ Calypso's P.O.V.
I wake up the sound of my alarm clock just like it was any other day. But it isn't. It's the day before my choice. The day before everything changes. It's the day of the test. The Aptitude Test. Which means my family's taunts will be so much more worse today.
I have dark, wavy, brown hair that falls to my upper back; dark blue eyes, olive skin tone, and high cheekbones that make my face exotic- without the glasses. With the glasses it makes my face ugly.
The glasses resemble everything I hate. My factions need to rub in everyones face how smart they are and looking down on those who aren't as intelligent as them. Always having to be right. The arrogance. My family.
Yes I'm a Erudite. My family hates me though. I'm always compared to my older brother, David, who is seventeen. He picked Erudite last year and of course he was one of the best in initiation. I'm tired of my parents going "why can't you be like David". I'm not David, I'm Calypso.
My 15 year old sister, Alisa is the "angel". She can do anything and get away with it. She is one of my worst tormenters.
Then there are my parents. My mom is a Erudite scientist. My dad is one of the initiates teachers in literuture. When initiation isn't going on, he is a reporter. He speciluzes in the antagonistic reports degrading the Abnegation faction. I'm everything they despise. I swear I'm attopted. But I'm not. I even have the blood tests to prove it.
Then there is me. I'm sixteen. The middle child. I'm also the black sheep of the family. The reason my family hates me is something I can't control. Something that isn't my fault. But they don't see it that way. My name is Calypso Wryn and I'm a Erudite born dyslexic.
That one word, one label, one god dam stupid thing has made my life a living hell.
I sigh and pull on my blue clothing. Something all members of the Erudite faction must wear at all times. I'm getting out of here soon. I grab my bookbag and glasses and go downstairs to meet my personal Auschwitz.
Think I'm cruel or exaggerating? I would too. That is if I didn't live it. Maybe a death camp wasn't the way to describe it but I told you..... I'm dumb.
As I walk past Alisa, who is eating her cereal at the table; she pushes the bowl off of the table.
"Calypso!" She screams, catching our mothers attention. "Why did you do that!?"
"What!?" I squeal in indignation. "You pushed it over! I didn't do anything!"
"Calypso" my mother scolds me. "Be nice." Then turning to Alisa and asking in a much nicer tone; "Now Alisa dear, it's okay. You can get more cereal if you want."
I inch my way towards the pantry, intending to smash and grab. Grand theft granola bar. My mother notices. "Now Calypso" she says. Oh no, here it comes. "You won't have breakfast today since you knocked over Alisa's."
We both know I didn't but she doesn't care. It is always like this. I'm always last. Everybody else before me. "But breakfast is the most important meal of the day" I say hoping that it will touch my mothers cold Erudite heart and let me have something. Anything.
My mother gives me that snake smile I hate and tells me I should have thought of that before. Then she tells me to clean up my mess.
As I pick up the shattered remains of the ceramic bowl, Alisa steps on my fingers. I don't flinch or say anything. Not wanting to give her the satisfaction of knowing she hurt me. I've learned to block out pain and embarrassment. Or at least give the impression of it.
"Alisa. I can't clean this up if my fingers aren't working." I point out, my voice impassive.
She squatted down, sending jolts of pain though my fingers, with a sneer on her face. "Your going to fail, you know" she said meanly. "You won't even receive an aptitude and tomorrow at your choosing ceramony, well lets just say sister dear you will soon be factionless."
I square my jaw. "I will not" I say forcefully. And I feel myself bring my hand up and see my fist connect with her nose. I never did that before but it felt good.
But Alisa has the last laugh. "Moooooommmmm" she screams. "Calypso punched me!"
I am so dead.

Yes?
is this a real story? cuz i got confused there.
Yes me and my buddy wizard234 are working on it.
It's Great! just...A little sad. But i'm so used to it to where I think happy stories are kinda scary.. I've been like this in awhile.
Well I don't like stories where everything is perfect and happy. I would love if real life was like that but in stories it's boring.
yeah it's very true. but good and bad things happen. So things can be all over the place
