Chapter 1
I'm not Stacey
"I don't know any of these people!" I yelled over Josh's music while his friends trashed the house.
"Of course you do Jillian!" He bumped into me after two boys ran by. "They all go to school with us."
"Yeah you know them. I don't Josh." I looked up the stairs longing for a quiet place to write.
He must have saw where I was looking because he said "Go ahead." He ruffled my hair. "I'll see you in the morning."
I nodded and tried to make my was to the stairs. Music blared throughout the house and there was nowhere to walk. I had to step over a guy who had passed out on the floor. Josh better clean all this up. Mom was in England for some science thing. She's a marine biologist for two weeks so it was just Josh and I.
"Stacey!" A girl with bouncy blonde hair grabbed my elbow and smiled at me.
"Umm...I'm not Stacey." She frowned and looked at me closer.
She shook her head and smiled. "Nice try you are definetly Stacey." She dragged me the opposite way I was heading and back outside near the pool. "Hey everyone I found her!" A group of boys and mabye two girls looked at me. They will know I'm not Stacey for sure I thought.
"Great!" A boy easily six feet tall walked over. "You tried to run but now it's time to get wet!" I look of horror crossed my face as he scooped me up and began to walk towards the pool.
"Put me down! Put me down! I'm not Stacey!" I begged. I began to cry and my heart thumped in my chest.
"Put Jillian down!" My brother stood at the door arms crossed. He walked over and took my hand. "This isnt Stacey you idiots. This is Jillian. You guys are wasted and need to get a hold of yourself." He glared at the boy who was about to throw me in.
"Sorry man she look's just like Stacey." He looked down. He smiled and busted out laughing.
"What are you laughing for?" Josh uncrossed his arms and looked around as everyone else began to laugh.
"Dude your sister was crying!" My face fell and I felt like someone had put me in a tiny can the stomped on it. I looked around and everyone laughed. I turned and left back to the stairs. It was easier because almost everyone had been outside. Almost everyone.
A guy with black hair and a leather jacket was standing in front of the stairway. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"To my room?" I looked at the floor. If your gonna make fun of me just do it I thought.
"Am I in your way?" He asked not mocking me at all. I looked at him carefully. He had nice features with a strong jaw and blue eyes. He was so tall I had to look up to talk to him. Which wasnt saying much because I'm only 5'2.
"Yes." I said looking away again. He moved but only a little and it erked me. I squeezed by and he grabbed my wrist.
"Don't mind Danny. He was just having fun and had a bit to much to drink. Don't worry about how they all laughed." He looked me in the eye. "Come morning those idiots wont remember a thing." He walked away to the back door. Then turned and smiled.
