Chapter 1
Blind
Footsteps. Sounded like 3-4 people. My hands lighty grazed the worn out brick walls of the alley. I zipped up my hoodie further. My (light blonde as my brother described) hair was tied back in a very loose braid. My skinny jeans would be hard to run in, but I had other plans. A hand touched my shoulder. I shook it off but it kept coming back. Eventually I was grabbed by the arm and pulled back. "What?!" I tried to face my attacker, who kicked me in the shin. I stumbled, but did not fall. I am Titanium, I reminded myself. I was the hero everyone knew as Titanium. I was famous in my city, for swooping in and saving innocent people, but i never stayed for autographs. Honestly I hated being so mean towards fans and reporters, but Jefferey (my brother) told me it was the right thing to do.
"Where you headed beautiful?" a voice broke me from my thoughts. I felt his breath on my face. It smelled horrible. Oh great, I thought.
"Leave me alone." I simply said. "Or I'll hurt you." I heard the men laugh in my face, and one spit at me.
"You couldn't hurt a fly!"
"Want a bet?" I challenged.
"Go for it, beautiful."
I smirked. This'll be fun. I narrowed my eyes as the ground started to rumble. Then men were confused, I could tell. My hood flew off, reavealing my face. Two or three of the men gasped.
"D-do you know who t-that is?!" One of them asked what seemed to be their leader.
I spoke up before he could. "I am Titanium." I smirked and a sonic boom went off, signaling my attack. I shot forces at them, sending them flying, but they got up.
I laughed to myself. Some people never learn, I thought. I disapeared. I liked invisibility best, but I also liked the speed. I heard shouts from the men "Where'd she go?" and "I'll get that little girl!" I appeard behind one of the men. I shocked him with an Electricity shock, nearly him, One down, three to go. I sent out waves, almost like a bat to signal where the rest were. I found one man by a dumpster and lifted my hand towards him, and simply lifted him up with mind control. He struggled against it, but he was no match.
"Li- er Titanium! STOP!!"
I heard a familiar voice from behind. I turned my heard to my brother, who must have heard the comotion. He was scared, I could tell by his voice. But I was angry, and in too deep. According to him, when I get too deep in my powers, My eyes glow a blinding bright blue. Ironic, huh?
"NO." I sent a shock his way, but it was light and just knocked him out. My voice was deep now, it sounded like a strange monster. "He needs to learn." I said before throwing the man up so high you couldn't see him, and right before he hit the ground.
I slammed the guy into a wall, ignoring my brothers cries to stop. The other men had ran away in the time I had been beating up their friend. The man of whom I was hurting pleaded for me to stop. Once he saw my eyes, he backed off. And I knew it.
"I WILL NOT BOW DOWN TO PITIFUL LOSERS LIKE YOU." my voice shook the buildings. People would be finding us soon. I knew I had to stop, but I couldn't. I just couldn't.
A hand grabbed my shoulder from behind and shook me. "BACK OFF JEFFEREY." I yelled. "Its not Jefferey!"
I knew that voice. My crush, Jake. He was my best friend, and knew about my powers when I'd saved him from a wolf when we got lost at a field trip in the forest during Elementary school. Luckily, he was cool with it. I melted at his touch, and imediatley dropped the man. He landed on the ground with a thud.
Jake P.O.V
I followed the sonic sounds as fast as my skateboard could carry me. I saw the light blue and red flashes and loud shocking sounds from my house. Shoot, I thought. Its Lilah. I turned down the alley way and sure enough, there was Lilah. She was using some sort of electricity attack to nearly kill a man. two others were lying on the ground unconsicous or even dead. In the distance I spotted one guy running away.
I jumped off my board and ran to Lilah. She was screaming at the guy who she was slamming into walls.
I grabbed her shoulder. Her head whipped around, and I looked into her eyes. I immediatly back off a little. They were glowing like crazy, a Blinding light blue. She was like an alien. But when she heard it was me, her eyes softened and lost their wild glow.
She turned to me, remembered at her brother and gasped. She fell to her knees.
I-I promised I wouldn't do it a-again." She stuttered.
I bent down and pulled her hood up over her messy blonde hair.
"Its okay.." I comforted as I put an arm around her. her hoodie was ripped and torn or I pulled it off and put mine around her. I left to wake up Jefferey.
