the people who are these "border jumpers" need to be kept out of this country, they can only leach on our economy until it's bone dry. now bush wants to make them legal citizens! it's pathetic. we need to eradicate our problem and build this fence to deter these leaches from taking away our job's and our constitution!

I am undecided on this. Do you have any hard facts from impartial sources that indicate that illegal aliens are a burden on our economy. I personally know a few illegal aliens, and they all pay taxes. Also, how are they taking away our constitution. I can be convinced either way as long as you provide verifiable facts.
I agree that the illegal immigration problem HAS TO BE STOPPED! However... a fence? Honestly.... a fence? Do you know how many fences I climbed and hopped when I was SEVEN YEARS OLD! And we are spending how much tax payer dollars on this.... fence?
Being the son of an immigrant (not from Mexico but Communist Czechoslovakia) I feel strongly that immigrants should be allowed into this great nation of immigrants...but they themselves have to do it legally, like my mother, grandmother, and great grandparents before them did. It is really not that hard to do it legally, and yes some of the fault rests with us for not assisting the legal process. But the border jumping has to stop and a fence will make it much more manageable.

I don't have a strong opinion on the immigrants, but a fence is not going to keep them out.
And how are they taking away the constitution? I thought it was the politicians doing that.

They should stop building the fence and build a huge wall with watch towers that have spotlights and guards in them. I'm not against immigration but if you want to become a citizen of the U.S. do it legally
