For those of you who don't believe in the bible or God...let me tell you I totally sympathize with you. My parents finally stopped taking me to church when I was younger. I was so relieved I never understood what the preacher was talking about, and actually my parents would always say well we have to go to church you don't want to go to hell do you? That reasoning just didnt seem right to me. After we stopped going to church I started wondering if there was even a God out there?
Honestly living in this world all the sickness, crime, and even death...how could there be a god? Ya know...well then I started wondering well how did we get here then? What happens When we die? If we go to Heaven what would we even do there? I had so many questions and trying to read the bible was not helping me because I didn't really know what it was saying either. At times I actually caught myself praying to find the answers and at the time didn't really even know if I believed in God.
Finally, I met who is my husband now...and he had grown up a Jehovah's Witness but was not one though...I was like o know those people don't celebrate the holidays there is no way I would be one of those. haha. Then I overheard some of his family talking about things the bible said and it kind of caught my ear. After a few discussions with his dad about some bible subjects I decided to set up a study with a JW. After my first study I was filled with joy and happiness and the answers to
to my questions were beginning to be answered! The bible revealed to me that hell is not a fiery place of torment, and Jehovah is Gods personal name. One day we will be able to live on an earthly paradise where there will be nothing bad anymore! It all seems to good to be true right? Rev. 21:1&4 says "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth and the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And he will wipe out every tear from there eyes and death will be no more
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." How encouraging and awesome it is to know that Jehovah is going to one day he will rid the earth of all the wicked things....There is so much more that I have learned about in the bible and now I have a great understanding of humankinds purpose. If you want answers please contact the nearest kingdom hall and request for a JW to visit you and help you understand the bible. You will be soooo happy! I promise
I apologize for the long comment, just trying to encourage those of you who are still questioning god and the bible. Hope it helps and if any of you would like to discuss things further I would be glad to share what I know:)
