emotional people do it to get rid of pain that they can't just tell anybody and if will relieve them. it's mostly stuff they (including me) can't tell anybody. i dont' know what. but with me, i'm a little different, i don't have anything to tell anybody but i still feel like i'm hiding some big secret, but i just don't know what it is, and i want to tell somebody but i can't cause there is nothing to say. and i hate it.

Being emo has nothing to do with cutting urself!!! sure some emos cut themselves, but so do some preps, etc. There is nothing wrong with emos, but it is not good to think that your emo just cuz u cut! Not all emos cut or hurt themselves, but still they r emo. And being emotional has nothing to do with hurting yourself! it means u r intouch with ur feelings. Cutting is just a stereotype and it belongs to the minority of emos.

emo is definetely about being youself, but some people especially around here just say like emo's are stupid faggin cutters, which is sooo wrong. being emo doesn't necessaririly mean you're gay or you cut yourself, or you have to cut, no, you can be and do who and whatever you like, this is just being plain mean. cut the preconcieved opions already. being yourself, unique and emotional shouldn't be such a crime jeez.
Everybody here has no idea what they're talking about....emo is an 80's genre of music standing for emotional hardcore, which is emotionally driven punk basically. In the late 90's and 2000's, it became a music scene and style. I have no idea where the stupid stereotypes about emos being emotional and depressed and cutters came in, but it's all bullcrap. If yout cut, you need help, and it isn't emo, it isn't cool, and whatever attention you get isn't the kind you want.

I really don't care if people cut but people make it like emo people are the only one's and most emo people do not cut anyways! A prep that used to sit beside me used to cut.
