| About Me: | Hi! I am 14 years old and one of 70,000 people living with cystic fibrosis (or 65 roses, that's close enough). CF is a genetic disease that causes a thick mucus buildup in the lungs and pancreas mainly. It causes the lungs to get infections more easily and become inflamed, and it affects the body's ability to get enzymes, needed to break down and absord food, to the digestive tract. People with CF have hours of breathing treatments, antibiotics, and pills with every meal to help with these problems. It is not easy living with CF: Along with all the treatments comes days of hospital visits, doctor appointments, and frustration with doing so much to stay healthy and still getting sick. There is no cure, and, despite new medicines, half the people living with it will never see their 38th birthday. I made this to raise awareness and also for people with a loved one with CF...there is lots of hope, and one day CF will stand for Cure Found. Thanks so much for reading this, message me any time!
