About Me:	Felix Raymond Montez for Minnesota District 59A – House of Representatives Republican rule requires rigorous debate, informed citizens, and sometimes even compromise. However, principled leaders must recognize and adhere to the enumerated scope of their constitutional authority even when engaging in bi-partisan deal making. The Constitution exists for the primary purpose of ensuring prosperity by providing an environment where freedom can flourish free from tyranny. There is never a circumstance were giving up freedom is necessary to secure safety or prosperity. All that we seek to accomplish as a nation, and a state can be fulfilled without abandoning our inalienable rights. Liberty is not the cost we are required to pay for Prosperity, nor vise versa. In truth it would be impossible to have one without the other.
