Though, someone (an intellectual, mind you) once wrote a whole essay about school brainwashing kids. That in the past, adults put kids in schools to keep them somewhere during the day (when they're at work) so they won't be "running around."
However, I bet if I were still gradeschool/highschool I'd say no. But now in College, I'm learning what I really need to know, so I choose to graduate.
Actually, if I had it my way, I'd attend school just to learn. I'd prefer to have less workload (papers, projects) though. However these are essential in building certain skills. So, yes.
For those who said no, it depends on the school you're attending. It's not that school in general sucks; it depends on how good the teachers are, and how suitable the curriculum is for the students.
No, I don't think I would. Yeah, I've learned a lot at school but most of the things I've learned are never gonna help me in the real world. Most of the really important things I've learned in life, have been things that I learned out of school. And there are way too many distractions at school like other students, fights, drama. I'd prefer to stay away from it. But of course, if I needed to go to school in order to have a good career, then I probably would attend... at least some of the time.
HECK YA :D
its fun being smarter than other people -3-
No, I would learn what I need on my own. I don't like the pressure at school. Socially and academically. It's all so overwhelming. I have access to the internet in my room, I have an almost endless amount of information available to me 24/7. I don't need school. (However, it probably also be smart to know what I am supposed to teach myself)
My Mom says knowledge is the one thing that people can't take away, so I would totally stay in school. Also, "Knowledge is power" and "A smart person can play dumb, but a dumb person can't play smart" is other things my mom says.
There are some days when I'd say no. Some days when I'd say yes. And some days where I'd say only a few specific classes.
I dunno, I'd probably keep going, but maybe only to certain classes.
As much as I dislike school, I'd attend even if it wasn't mandatory.
Nope, I don't learn anything, and education has a subtle way of brainwashing our kids into sheep of society. I'd figure out how to get the education to become a veterinarian, and then I'd have my job.
