How can people not know what cursive is nor write in it!?
I've known it since I first went to school and write very fast using it, I actually don't know how to write any way else, block writing, or whatever its called, is incredibly slow.
Reading it isn't a problem either.
I am going into 10th and i prefer cursive over printing! Learned it in 3rd grade!
I can a little. but not very well. i can write my name. but other than that it is really really painfully slow for me to write in cursive. and i always forget a few letters like capitol G and Z. i cant do those. I print when i write. But i really prefer typing over anything else.
oh and i forgot about reading it. I can a little. better than most people in my class but it sometimes takes a long time to figure out what it says and when my teachers write their comments in cursive i can't read it at all
In third grade, I was told that every year above that one we would be required to write in cursive at all times. The year after, when I found out that wasn't true, I was just like..."MY LIFE IS A LIE!!!"
Oh, you mean joined-up. Yeah, we didn't call it "cursive writing" in primary, it was just "joined-up". And yeah, I don't really like it because it's difficult to read and a lot of people stopped doing it when they reached secondary school - it looked so messy.
I'm sorry, but i am disappointed in the world. 7% of these people don't know what cursive is? This is not good... How can you never have learned? To me, it's just a part of growing up. Learning cursive was the most exciting part of 3rd grade. One of them, any way. I can't imagine not knowing how to read it, let alone millions-maybe billions- of people not knowing it. Not so long ago, cursive was the only way people wrote. There was no such thing as "print". Are we just going to let the (cont...)
Style die? If you don't learn, then you can't learn things that some people write, or things written long ago, such as the declaration of independence. If the old ways die forever, then I won't want to live on this planet anymore.
Hey there, Mars, mind if I start living on you?
Ok... Rant over. Sorry for that.
I was required to write in cursive for at least 7 years while in school...and during that time all of my work was handwritten - not allowed to be typed. So yes, I can certainly still read and write in cursive.
WHAT IS CURSIVE??????
Yep, I can write in cursive and read cursive. It wasn't taught in class but I did activity books over the summer between 2nd and 3rd grade, and it taught cursive in those. :D
No, I can't read it
and I can only write my name
I can read it pretty well. I started reading at the age of 3 so I learn cursive at a young age. Is so easy
