Sometime it depends. But I usually call it England =)
It sort of depends.
I either call it the United Kingdom of England or I call it England.
I'll call it any of those, depending on what pops into my mind, but usually it's either England, UK, or Iggy.
Hogwarts land :)
I call it England. The UK is essentially England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. United Kingdom of nations. Great Britain is an isle. In it, England, Scotland and Wales are located. Now people know this. Because most people DON'T know this. They mistake England as the UK, and it annoys me.
The fact that the majority call it something that is clearly incorrect worries me. What's happening to the world? I live in England but I'm not going to disregard Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, they're equally as important to Britain as England. As you can see I call it Britain. Sorry if I caused any offence with this, by the way.
Britain looks like EU.All power in one city, and no one seems to care about other countries.I do not want to insult English politicians, maybe they doing something, but i heard many things from non-English people.Personally i call it Britain or Great Britain (since the last one is one word for me,unlike in English)
Let`s be realistic. Many people in europe call it England.Where do you travel as tourist? Right,England.Rarely hear that people travel somewhere else than London.I talked with guy from Scotland and i believe him.Power in London,non-English cities (at least he said about Scotland) are perceived as a village.Personally,i never heard someone said "he is scottish" or "he is from Scotland",but i hear oftenly,"he is from Britain/England".
Just about to kill someone. 43% OF PEOPLE CALL IT ENGLAND!! OH MY ACTUAL GOD! THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE ONE THING I FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT!!! ENGLAND IS ONE PART OF BRITAIN! ONE! FOR GOD'S SAKE! In one interview when they called Andrew Murray a 'little boy from England' I was about ready to throw a brick through the T.V. Get your facts straight people.
Sorry for the rant, but my blood is now officially BOILING. No disrespect to the creator :S
Oh my gosh. England, Northern Ireland, Scotland (although Scotland could change) and Wales make up Britain. People from Britain aren't all going to be from England, and we're not all from London either. I guess this has been said a lot already, right?
