Paperback cause it makes them easier to hug, I am serious.
I prefer paperback. Hardcover hurt you face more when you're laying on your back reading and fall asleep haha
I like hardcover because it keeps them safe and protected. But also paperback because they are cheaper
I like paperbacks. Sometimes it's annoying when they get all floppy on ya while you're trying to read, but they're smaller and fit in bags better. And, there's the fact that they're cheaper than hardbacks. Not to mention, paperbacks are cheaper to produce, so you can find more variety with those. I doubt there are any hardback novelizations of Charmed!
And it's cheaper.
I just like paperback. Hardcover sometimes has a jacket and that gets annoying. And they're smaller. I like small but very thick books.
Both. I don't really mind reading either one.
I like both. I really like smaller books in paperback; I don't know why, but it just feels quaint. Bigger books are best in hardback for myriad reasons - the bigger the spine, the more support it needs (though not all hardbacks are created equal these days), and really thick ones need help, as well as having something sturdy to hold onto while reading. Most in-between sizes I prefer in softcover because hardcovers get in the way. But then the spine creases, and I hate that. DX
All very true!! I also hate when my spine creases but there isn't much I can do about it. Most of the books I own are in fact paperback. Though I'm very protected of my books so I try very hard to keep them in good shape.
I try not to make the creases as much as possible - not cracking the book open as far as I can, and the like - and then I've found that keeping my paperbacks on a really full shelf - really squished together - that the covers never curve like they usually do. I have really full shelves whether I like it or not for the health and wellbeing of my paperbacks, but it's a really nice benefit to get books that look new out of it!
Good idea. My shelves aren't as full as I'd like but I'm working on it! xP
Hardcover, because you can preserve it for much longer, especially when the books in question are Harry Potter.
Haha yes, I suppose.
I really don't care, most all my books are paperback. But I love the feels of hardbacks, and they are more sturdy and takes a bit long for it to start coming apart.
