I'm not American so it doesn't effect me but there's a reason why there's less gun related accidents in places that have banned guns. It's getting ridiculous, almost every other week and month, someone's been shot and there's still no ban on guns.
Other here in the UK, someone went in to a Scottish school and shot a load of young kids. Since then, guns have been banned and I've never been in fear of being shot (I know Americans probably aren't but there's more chance of it).
There must be several reasons why Canada isn't as conflicted with guns, compared to the US, right?
So...here's my stance. :) It's not as much that I'm against gun rights; I think there should be more laws in place that restrict certain people from getting them. Some states just have a really flimsy "background check" which is frankly kind of ridiculous. I'm okay with reliable people having them; accidents can happen, I guess, even with reliable people. But some people definitely aren't safe with a gun, and the process to get a gun still allows pretty much anyone to walk away with one.
Against. I'm not for violence, therefore I'm not for gun rights.
I'm for gun rights! How wiil Jay - Z get his inspiration without them?
I'm personally for them. It's a right based off the Bill of Rights firstly. Also the people who are going to use guns for violence statistically do not get their guns legally, so restricting gun permits would only hurt law abiding people. Also say a criminal came into your home or business and you were able to protect yourself because of you weapon that you got with a permit? By restricting or annihilating the right to carry you don't hurt the criminals, only the citizens.
I think the same. Glad to see another!
Hey guys, the reason I created this quiz is because a Reporter and the Camera Man were shot this morning on live T.V. This made me really infuriated about how the shooter had access to a gun, and killed two innocent people. I am 100% anti-gun rights but I totally accept other opinions! I just want to see what other people think. Thanks for viewing! :)))))))
In all sincerity though, that is pretty terrible. I don't think guns should be legal, even though there are people who get them illegally - having them legalised would only increase the chances of gun-related assaults. Just because some people abide to the laws more than others, it doesn't mean they are good through-and-through. They could use that good reputation as an excuse to misuse a gun. I don't know much about gun rights otherwise, so that's about all I'll say.
...and, I mean, here in Australia there are also people who illegally carry guns. By law, normal civilians are prohibited from being in possession of any kind of real gun. We still have gun-related issues, we do, but it's not as frequent or drastic as the ones in the U.S. There are other countries that have this occur and their issues with guns is also not as bad. I think that's a good-enough reason, for the U.S to ban guns from their citizens.
Yeah, I agree!
